EVAPCO, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Benefits Manager to lead the management, administration, and continuous improvement of our employee benefits programs for U.S. employees and their dependents. This role is responsible for ensuring our benefits offerings remain superior to other U.S. companies, compliant, and aligned with EVAPCO’s employee owned culture and long term business strategy. The Corporate Benefits Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for all benefit programs, partner closely with HR leadership, finance, and external vendors, and support employees by delivering clear communication and a high quality benefits experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer U.S. employee health insurance plans.
- Manage and administer U.S. employee leave programs such as short term disability, long term disability, FMLA and ADA leave.
- Partner with Chief People Officer and Chief Financial Officer on the design of employee benefits programs.
- Evaluate health insurance plan performance, utilization, and cost trends; develop recommendations for plan design changes and vendor selections.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements pertaining to the management of employee benefits.
- Provide support to U.S. Evapco facilities in support of local employee benefits needs.
- Oversee annual health insurance renewal processes and open enrollment planning, execution, and communication.
- Develop and deliver clear, employee friendly benefits communications and educational materials.
- Promote a cooperative and harmonious environment that facilitates positive employee morale, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Routinely answers benefits questions from employees and managers.
- Assists with the education of employees on the Evapco Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Position Requirements/Personal Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or a related field required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Shows appreciation for, understands, and balances the needs of employees with the needs of the business.
- Must possess the ability to understand the relevant people metrics of the business.
- Has the ability to coach others and demonstrate genuine care for people, and the company’s culture.
- Must have an execution oriented mentality and be able to identify the need for change and implement best practices.
- The ability to build strong relationships with employees, is culturally adept, credible and authentic.
- Strong PC and mathematical skills.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Achieves results, individually and through teams – can manage data and multiple points of view quickly and creatively to arrive at solutions.
- Grows from failures and celebrates success.
