Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year

This is a well-established Construction and Manufacturing company that plans to triple in size in the next 3-5 years. This is an exciting first-hire growth opportunity for their Sales/Business Development organization to help achieve more new Client Growth & define Strategic Account Leadership – While working to gain new clients, they will also have a heavy hand in standing up the sales organization with oversight from the CEO and CCO.

JOB DETAILS
The Client Executive is responsible for driving client growth, expanding market opportunities, and developing strategic relationships within assigned industry sectors. This role combines business development and strategic account management responsibilities, with equal focus on identifying new opportunities and cultivating long-term client partnerships. The position works cross-functionally with commercial, operational, design, estimating, manufacturing, construction, and project delivery teams to align client needs with scalable solutions and successful project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Market Growth:
- Identify, pursue, and develop new client opportunities within target markets.
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects, strategic accounts, and revenue opportunities.
- Develop capture plans and go-to-market strategies in partnership with internal leadership teams.
- Lead or support proposal development, RFP responses, client presentations, and pursuit strategies.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, conferences, industry events, and market-facing activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and client capital plans.
- Identify adjacent market opportunities and scalable program initiatives.
- Convert prospects into long-term strategic relationships and repeat business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned strategic accounts and clients.
- Maintain strong executive, operational, and project-level client relationships.
- Ensure client satisfaction, retention, repeat business, and long-term account growth.
- Understand client goals, capital plans, operational challenges, and future project pipelines.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and achieved.
- Support issue resolution, executive communication, and relationship continuity throughout project lifecycles.
Solution & Program Strategy:
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, estimating, operations, and project delivery teams to align solutions with market and client needs.
- Support the development of scalable delivery models, product strategies, and cost approaches.
- Provide market feedback to improve competitiveness, operational alignment, and client value.
- Assist with pricing, margin, risk, and strategic pursuit discussions.
Internal Leadership & Reporting:
- Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, client health, revenue forecasts, and opportunity conversion.
- Support executive briefings, strategic account reviews, and market planning sessions.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and client information within company systems.
- Serve as a trusted internal voice of the client and market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10–15 years of experience in business development, strategic account management, construction, real estate development, program management, or related industries.
- Proven ability to grow client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Experience supporting complex clients, capital projects, multi-site programs, or large-scale initiatives.
- Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, retail, financial services, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading proposals, pursuits, executive presentations, and strategic client discussions.
- Strong commercial acumen including forecasting, pipeline management, pricing awareness, and contract strategy.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, or related field preferred.
