Business Office Associate Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business office associate in North Dakota?
Most business office associate roles in North Dakota require an associate or bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field. The state does not issue a specific license for the role, but many North Dakota healthcare employers expect a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative or Certified Professional Biller credential. Employers like Sanford Health and CHI St. Alexius Health typically ask for completed coursework in medical billing or hands-on experience with revenue cycle software before hiring.
Which companies hire business office associates in North Dakota?
North Dakota business office associate roles are posted by Aspen Dental, DSG, and Sevita and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Healthcare systems and regional hospital networks account for the largest share of postings, reflecting North Dakota's strong medical services sector anchored in cities like Fargo and Bismarck.
Which North Dakota cities have the most business office associate jobs?
Fargo, Grand Forks, and Minot lead North Dakota for business office associate openings. Fargo dominates because it is home to the state's largest healthcare systems and a growing financial services corridor, while Bismarck's concentration of state government offices, regional hospitals, and insurance carriers drives consistent demand, and Grand Forks benefits from University of North Dakota Health and nearby Altru Health System.
Are there remote business office associate jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, and more than most fields, because much of the work involves billing, data entry, and account management that can be done from a computer. About 0% of business office associate openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest remote availability in medical billing, insurance follow-up, and accounts receivable roles where patient interaction is limited.
How can I get hired as a business office associate in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a patient services representative or front desk billing role at one of North Dakota's large healthcare systems, such as Sanford Health or Essentia Health, which regularly hire candidates with limited experience and provide on-the-job revenue cycle training. Completing a medical billing certificate through Lake Region State College or Bismarck State College strengthens an application considerably, and moving laterally from a receptionist or insurance verification position at a clinic is a common way candidates build the credentials needed for a full business office associate role.
Where can I find and apply to business office associate jobs in North Dakota?
You can find and apply to business office associate jobs in North Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
