Business Systems Analyst Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business systems analyst in Indiana?
Most Indiana employers expect a bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, computer science, or a closely related field as a starting point. There is no state-issued license required to work as a business systems analyst in Indiana, so hiring decisions center on education, demonstrated analytical experience, and credentials like the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), both of which carry real weight with Indiana's larger corporate and healthcare employers.
How much do business systems analysts make in Indiana?
Business systems analysts in Indiana earn a median of about $98,810 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,890 for the lowest 10% to over $153,030 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business systems analysts in Indiana?
Companies currently hiring business systems analysts in Indiana include Gainwell Technologies, American Technology Consulting, and Collabera, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indiana's financial services, healthcare, and insurance sectors generate the most consistent volume of openings for this role.
Which Indiana cities have the most business systems analyst jobs?
Indianapolis, Indiana, and Fort Wayne account for the most business systems analyst openings in Indiana. Indianapolis drives the largest share because it is home to major insurance carriers, healthcare systems, and the regional offices of national technology and financial firms, while Fort Wayne and South Bend contribute through their own manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services employers.
Are there remote business systems analyst jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 51% of business systems analyst openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role's core work, requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder collaboration, translates to distributed environments. Positions tied to ERP implementations or on-site manufacturing operations are more likely to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a business systems analyst in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a business-facing role such as project coordinator, operations analyst, or QA associate, where you already interact with systems and stakeholders. Indiana's large healthcare employers, including Indiana University Health and Eskenazi Health, along with financial firms like OneAmerica and Salesforce's Indianapolis operations, periodically hire associates or junior analysts for structured onboarding. Building a portfolio of process maps or requirements documents and earning the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) from IIBA strengthens an application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings updated on an ongoing basis. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
