SUMMARY OF POSITION:
A Pediatric Clinical Care Manager for Pediatric Oncology is a specialized registered nurse who guides children with cancer and their families through the complex healthcare journey. They coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, help schedule and manage treatments, and ensure clear communication between providers and families. The CCM provides education about diagnoses, therapies, and side effects, while also offering emotional support and connecting families with resources such as financial assistance, counseling, and support services. Their role is to improve continuity of care, reduce barriers, and enhance the overall patient and family experience from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Two (2) years nursing experience.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.
