INTRODUCTION
Hospital Sisters Health System is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer to lead our Central Illinois Market. The market structure includes five Illinois based HSHS hospitals and is based at our flagship hospital, HSHS St. John’s, in Springfield, IL. This role is responsible for operations at HSHS St. John’s Hospital as well as overall market operational oversight. This role reports directly to the Central Illinois Market President & CEO.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned operational leader that is confident managing in a matrix environment with proven success in a hospital setting with growth, strategy, culture, and overall operations. The ideal candidate is also comfortable in community involvement throughout the market.

- Includes Level 3 NICU
- Based in Springfield, IL

- Competitive relocation package
- Base salary with bonus potential
- Salary Range: $422,400 - $469,900
- A successful candidate's placement within the range will be based on several factors including direct healthcare CNO experience, certifications, and education.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, management, finance or related field is required.
- 7 years leadership experience role in a hospital or health system, multi-specialty group practice and/or integrated delivery system is required.
- Fellowship status in American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) is preferred.
- Operational oversight of a market of multiple hospitals or one flagship hospital is preferred.
