Client Advisor Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client advisor in Missouri?
The path depends on the sector. For financial services and wealth management roles, you typically need a bachelor's degree plus licensure through FINRA or the Missouri Secretary of State's Office, which oversees investment adviser registration in the state. Insurance-focused client advisors must pass the Missouri state insurance producer exam administered through the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance. Technology and SaaS client advisor roles generally require a degree and relevant product experience rather than a state license.
Which companies hire client advisors in Missouri?
Employers hiring client advisors in Missouri right now include JPMorganChase, Commerce Bank, and Gucci, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's concentration of financial services headquarters, regional banks, and enterprise technology firms means sustained demand well beyond peak hiring seasons.
Which Missouri cities have the most client advisor jobs?
St. Louis, Kansas City, and Clayton account for the largest share of client advisor openings in Missouri. St. Louis leads because of its density of financial services headquarters, insurance carriers, and Fortune 500 employers, while Kansas City's growth in commercial banking and technology services drives strong demand there, and Springfield's expanding regional insurance and healthcare sectors support a meaningful share of the remaining openings.
Are there remote client advisor jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than many client-facing roles, because a significant portion of client advisor work in technology, SaaS, and inside financial sales translates well to remote formats. About 50% of client advisor openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broad employer flexibility in this category. Roles centered on account renewals, onboarding support, and portfolio reviews are the most commonly offered in remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a client advisor in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a client associate or financial services representative role at one of Missouri's large retail or regional banks, such as Commerce Bank or U.S. Bank branches across St. Louis and Kansas City, where formal training programs exist for candidates without advisory experience. Edward Jones runs a structured associate program out of its St. Louis headquarters that regularly brings on candidates transitioning from sales, customer service, or retail. Earning a Missouri insurance producer license before applying adds a concrete credential that moves entry-level applications to the top of the stack.
Where can I find and apply to client advisor jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to client advisor jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings across financial services, technology, insurance, and commercial sectors. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the employer.
