Clinical Assistant Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical assistant in Wyoming?
Wyoming does not issue a state license specifically for clinical assistants, so most employers require a nationally recognized credential such as the Certified Medical Assistant credential from the American Association of Medical Assistants or the Registered Medical Assistant credential from American Medical Technologists. Candidates typically complete a certificate or associate degree program at an institution like Laramie County Community College or Casper College, then pass the relevant certification exam before applying.
Which companies hire clinical assistants in Wyoming?
Companies currently hiring clinical assistants in Wyoming include HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, US Department of Veterans Affairs, and IQVIA, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's largely rural healthcare landscape means large regional systems and federally qualified health centers account for a significant share of ongoing openings.
Which Wyoming cities have the most clinical assistant jobs?
Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Lander have the most clinical assistant openings in Wyoming. Cheyenne and Casper drive the majority of postings as the state's two largest population centers, each anchored by major medical centers, while Laramie's openings are supported by its university-affiliated clinics and proximity to a concentrated student and staff population.
Are there remote clinical assistant jobs in Wyoming?
Yes, but they're rare. About 43% of clinical assistant openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how hands-on the role's core duties are. The portions of the work most likely to appear in remote arrangements involve medical scribing, prior authorization support, or care coordination tasks that don't require in-person patient contact.
How can I get hired as a clinical assistant in Wyoming with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing a certificate program at Laramie County Community College or Casper College and applying for externship or new-grad openings posted by Wyoming Medical Center, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, or UCHealth during or immediately after training. Starting in a patient services representative or medical receptionist role at a Wyoming clinic is a common lateral move that leads to clinical assistant advancement. Earning your CMA or RMA credential before applying gives you a clear edge over candidates without formal certification.
Where can I find and apply to clinical assistant jobs in Wyoming?
You can find and apply to clinical assistant jobs in Wyoming on Migrate Mate, which lists current Wyoming openings from employers across the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
