Clinical Dietitian Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical dietitian in Oklahoma?
To practice as a clinical dietitian in Oklahoma, you must hold a current Oklahoma dietitian license issued through the Oklahoma State Department of Health under the Dietitian Licensing Act. Licensure requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or a closely related field, completion of an accredited supervised practice program, and passing the Commission on Dietetic Registration examination to earn the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential. Once credentialed, you apply for the Oklahoma license before beginning practice.
How much do clinical dietitians make in Oklahoma?
Clinical dietitians in Oklahoma earn a median of about $69,560 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,580 for the lowest 10% to over $86,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical dietitians in Oklahoma?
Employers hiring clinical dietitians in Oklahoma right now include Saint Francis Health System, Norman Regional Health, and Cohesive Healthcare Management and Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Oklahoma's large integrated health systems and regional hospital networks tend to post the most consistent openings across acute care, outpatient, and long-term care settings.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most clinical dietitian jobs?
Muskogee, Tulsa, and Norman account for the most clinical dietitian openings in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City drives volume through its concentration of major hospital systems and university medical centers, while Tulsa's large regional health networks and growing outpatient sector keep demand steady, and Norman benefits from its proximity to OU Health and the broader Oklahoma City metro health corridor.
Are there remote clinical dietitian jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they're rare. Most clinical dietitian roles involve direct patient assessment, bedside counseling, and coordination with care teams, which require an on-site presence. About 100% of clinical dietitian openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, and those positions tend to be in telehealth nutrition counseling or outpatient wellness consulting rather than inpatient clinical work.
How can I get hired as a clinical dietitian in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for dietetic internship programs or new-graduate clinical nutrition roles at large Oklahoma systems such as INTEGRIS Health or OU Health, both of which periodically hire dietitians in entry-level inpatient positions. Moving laterally from a diet technician or nutrition services coordinator role within those same systems is another concrete route. Earning your Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential and securing your Oklahoma dietitian license before applying will give you a clear edge over candidates who are still completing requirements.
Where can I find and apply to clinical dietitian jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to clinical dietitian jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your experience and preferred setting, and apply directly to the ones that match.
