Entry Level Clinical Research Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level clinical research manager job?
Employers at this level look for candidates with a relevant degree in life sciences, public health, or a related field, plus hands-on exposure through internships, co-ops, or clinical trial coursework. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice guidelines, basic regulatory documentation, and any experience coordinating study activities, even in an academic setting, gives candidates a clear edge over applicants with no direct exposure to research operations.
Which companies hire entry level clinical research managers?
Companies hiring entry level clinical research managers right now include Medpace, Johns Hopkins University, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from contract research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, academic medical centers, and hospital systems building out their clinical operations teams.
Are there remote entry level clinical research manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are more common at this level given the hands-on nature of clinical trial coordination. About 18% of entry level clinical research manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility should filter for those specifically when searching current openings on Migrate Mate.
Are these new grad clinical research manager jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with zero to two years of experience. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it lists a degree as the core requirement, counts internships or practicum hours toward experience, or accepts a strong academic portfolio in place of a lengthy professional history. These are the roles where a new grad has a genuine shot.
Which industries hire the most entry level clinical research managers?
Entry Level clinical research manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive entry level hiring because they run ongoing clinical trials and regulatory submissions that require dedicated coordination staff, even at the junior level.
