Clinical Specialist Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical specialist in Georgia?
Most clinical specialist roles in Georgia require a clinical degree, such as a bachelor's in nursing or a life science, combined with direct patient care or product application experience. Nurses must hold an active Georgia license issued by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Many employers also expect a specialty certification relevant to the focus area, such as cardiovascular, oncology, or critical care, obtained through recognized national credentialing bodies before or shortly after hire.
Which companies hire clinical specialists in Georgia?
Employers hiring clinical specialists in Georgia right now include Emory Healthcare, Abbott, and Mölnlycke, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of large integrated health systems and the presence of major pharmaceutical and medical device regional offices means consistent, year-round openings across both facility-based and field-based roles.
Which Georgia cities have the most clinical specialist jobs?
Atlanta, Norcross, and Savannah have the most clinical specialist openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the largest share because it is home to major health systems, device and pharma regional offices, and a dense concentration of outpatient and specialty clinics, while Augusta's presence as a leading academic medical and military health hub and Savannah's growing hospital network explain why those markets consistently appear alongside it.
Are there remote clinical specialist jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're relatively limited, since most clinical specialist work involves direct support of patients, procedures, or clinical staff on-site. About 38% of clinical specialist openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to cluster in clinical education, health IT implementation, and pharmaceutical medical science liaison roles rather than device or bedside support functions.
How can I get hired as a clinical specialist in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is transitioning from a direct patient care role such as registered nurse, respiratory therapist, or surgical technologist into a clinical specialist position at one of Georgia's large health systems. Emory Healthcare and WellStar Health System both run structured clinical education and residency-style training tracks that welcome candidates moving into non-bedside clinical roles. Earning a specialty certification early and building familiarity with a specific device or therapeutic area significantly strengthens an application for candidates without prior specialist experience.
Where can I find and apply to clinical specialist jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to clinical specialist jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that fit your background and target specialty, and apply directly to each listing without needing to create a profile first.
