Frame your credentials around hardware industry verticals
AMETEK's Partnership Development Manager roles span electronic instruments, electromechanical devices, and specialty hardware segments. Tailor your resume to highlight experience in these verticals specifically, since hiring managers are assessing both business development skills and technical fluency.
Target AMETEK's divisional structure when applying
AMETEK operates through distinct business units rather than a single centralized structure. Apply to roles under the division closest to your industry background, because sponsorship decisions often sit with divisional hiring managers rather than corporate HR.
Verify your OPT timeline before accepting an offer
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period before your start date. Partnership development roles at AMETEK often have a ramp-up period, so you need enough runway for an H-1B petition to be filed and approved before your OPT expires.
Clarify the LCA process with your AMETEK recruiter early
For H-1B sponsorship, AMETEK must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can receive your petition. Ask your recruiter to confirm where the role falls in the prevailing wage tiers, since partnership management positions can vary by scope.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Partnership Development Manager roles at AMETEK
Search Migrate Mate's job board to filter AMETEK openings by visa sponsorship type before applying. This lets you prioritize divisions actively hiring for this function under sponsorship rather than cold-applying across the full company.
Prepare a structured post-offer sponsorship conversation
Once you have a verbal offer, ask directly whether the role qualifies under the H-1B specialty occupation standard. Partnership development in hardware can require demonstrating degree-field alignment, so having your academic credentials and relevant work history documented in advance avoids delays.
Partnership Development Manager at AMETEK jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Partnership Development Manager at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, AMETEK sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. Sponsorship is handled at the divisional level, so availability can vary depending on which business unit is hiring. To strengthen your case, be prepared to demonstrate how your degree field directly relates to the partnership development function, since USCIS evaluates specialty occupation status on a role-by-role basis.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at AMETEK?
Apply directly through AMETEK's careers portal or browse open roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Because AMETEK is organized into multiple divisions, search for the specific business unit aligned with your hardware or electronics background. Tailor your application to the division's product focus, and confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Partnership Development Manager roles at AMETEK?
H-1B is the most common long-term sponsorship path for this role at AMETEK. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for candidates earlier in their career, and TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business development occupations. J-1 sponsorship is less common for this function but has been used in select circumstances.
What qualifications and experience does AMETEK typically expect for a Partnership Development Manager?
AMETEK generally looks for candidates with a degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with experience in channel partnerships, strategic accounts, or OEM relationships within electronics or hardware. Familiarity with AMETEK's core segments, such as electronic instruments or electromechanical systems, strengthens your application significantly and supports the specialty occupation case for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I manage the timeline between receiving an offer and getting my visa filed?
The critical path runs from offer acceptance to LCA certification with the DOL, then to the USCIS H-1B petition. Standard H-1B processing takes several months, so if you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date immediately. If your OPT has fewer than six months remaining at the time of offer, ask your recruiter whether premium processing is available to reduce USCIS adjudication time.
