Align Your PMP Credentials to AMETEK's Portfolio
AMETEK's Program Manager roles typically require demonstrated experience managing hardware or electronics product lifecycles. A PMP certification paired with tangible examples of NPI or manufacturing program delivery signals you understand the engineering-driven environment AMETEK operates in.
Target AMETEK's Electronic Instruments and Electromechanical Divisions
AMETEK posts Program Manager roles across distinct business units. Filtering by division helps you tailor your application and surface roles where your background in sensors, test equipment, or precision instruments maps directly to the team's current program pipeline.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Program Manager Roles
AMETEK lists Program Manager positions across multiple sites and business units, making it easy to miss active openings. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter current Program Manager jobs at AMETEK filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility.
Clarify Your Visa Type Before Submitting Your Application
AMETEK sponsors H-1B, OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 visas, but not every status is treated identically in the offer process. Knowing which category applies to you lets you ask the right questions during the recruiter screen before sponsorship assumptions get baked into the timeline.
Build Your I-129 Timeline Around AMETEK's Hiring Cycles
USCIS H-1B cap filings open in March for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in late winter, flag the registration window early so your offer letter and supporting documentation are ready before AMETEK's legal team files your petition.
Prepare a Cross-Functional Leadership Portfolio for the Interview
AMETEK Program Manager interviews lean heavily on behavioral evidence of stakeholder management across engineering, supply chain, and quality functions. Arriving with documented examples of schedule recovery, risk mitigation, or on-time delivery directly addresses what hiring managers assess.

Find Program Manager at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, AMETEK sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, roles tied to engineering or electronics hardware development at AMETEK typically meet that threshold. Sponsorship is handled through USCIS, and your employer files the I-129 petition on your behalf after an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at AMETEK?
Applications go through AMETEK's careers portal, where roles are listed by division and location. Because AMETEK operates across many business units, the same Program Manager title can appear under very different functions. Migrate Mate lets you browse current Program Manager openings at AMETEK filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you focus on roles where your status is explicitly supported.
Which visa types does AMETEK commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
AMETEK has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for Program Manager positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering categories. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates while a long-term H-1B petition is in process. Each visa type has different authorization windows and filing requirements through USCIS or DOL.
What qualifications does AMETEK expect for Program Manager roles?
Most Program Manager postings at AMETEK require a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical discipline, along with several years of experience managing programs in a hardware or manufacturing environment. PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred. Experience with NPI processes, cross-functional team leadership, and familiarity with aerospace, defense, or precision instruments aligns closely with AMETEK's business divisions.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at AMETEK?
The H-1B cap registration window opens each March, with an October 1 start date for selected petitions. If you're targeting AMETEK and your current work authorization expires before October, discuss bridging options with the recruiter early, including OPT STEM extensions if applicable. USCIS premium processing is available to expedite adjudication once a petition is filed, which can reduce uncertainty during the gap between offer and start date.
