Align your resume to territory sales metrics
Applied Industrial Technologies evaluates Business Sales Representatives on measurable outcomes like account retention and revenue growth. Frame your resume around quantified territory results rather than general sales duties so your application speaks directly to their industrial distribution hiring criteria.
Understand which visa categories apply here
Business Sales Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies have been sponsored under EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. Confirm whether your qualifications align with EB-2 advanced degree requirements or whether EB-3 skilled worker is the realistic path before approaching the offer stage.
Target open roles across multiple regions
Applied Industrial Technologies operates service centers nationally, and Business Sales Representative openings are distributed across regions. Broadening your geographic search beyond a single metro significantly increases your chances of landing an offer where sponsorship is actively on the table.
Initiate the PERM conversation before accepting an offer
EB-3 sponsorship requires the employer to complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. Asking directly during negotiation whether their legal team has initiated or is prepared to initiate PERM for this role prevents surprises after you've already accepted.
Browse verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Identifying which Applied Industrial Technologies locations are actively hiring for Business Sales Representatives with sponsorship intent takes targeted research. Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by employer sponsorship history, so you can prioritize applications where immigrant visa support is already documented.
Prepare your credentials before the I-140 stage
Applied Industrial Technologies will typically require your employer to file an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS after PERM certification. Gather official transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations if your credential is from outside the U.S., and employment verification letters well before this filing stage to avoid delays.

Find Business Sales Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Business Sales Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies' documented sponsorship activity for Business Sales Representatives has been concentrated in EB-2 and EB-3 permanent residence categories rather than H-1B nonimmigrant visas. Business Sales Representative roles generally require relationship management and territory knowledge rather than the highly specialized theoretical expertise that typically supports an H-1B specialty occupation classification, so the permanent residence route is the more common path here.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Sales Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The immigrant visa categories EB-2 and EB-3 are the primary sponsorship pathways documented for Business Sales Representative positions at Applied Industrial Technologies. EB-2 applies if you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a relevant bachelor's degree. Both require the employer to complete PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the I-140 petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Business Sales Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field combined with demonstrated B2B or industrial sales experience. Familiarity with mechanical power transmission, fluid power, or related industrial products is a meaningful differentiator. Territory management experience and the ability to build long-term account relationships are weighted heavily in the selection process for this role.
How do I apply for Business Sales Representative jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies posts Business Sales Representative openings across multiple regions on an ongoing basis. You can browse and apply through Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified listings from employers with documented sponsorship history so you can prioritize roles where permanent residence support is already part of the hiring pattern. When applying, tailor your materials to territory performance metrics and industrial solutions experience specific to Applied Industrial Technologies' distribution model.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship through Applied Industrial Technologies?
The EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card process at a company like Applied Industrial Technologies moves in three sequential stages: PERM labor certification with DOL (typically six months to over a year), I-140 petition approval by USCIS, and then adjustment of status or consular processing once a visa number is current. Your priority date and country of chargeability determine the final wait, which can vary significantly based on USCIS backlog and the Visa Bulletin.
