Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing. Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates. Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Frame Your Science Fluency in Applications
Arrowhead's sales development function is tightly tied to their RNAi and subcutaneous therapeutic pipeline. Highlight any background in cardiometabolic, liver, or pulmonary disease areas so hiring managers see you as pipeline-literate, not just commercially skilled.
Confirm TN Eligibility Before Your Interview
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN classification for a Sales Development Manager role requires your position to map cleanly to a qualifying USMCA occupation category. Verify this with an immigration attorney before your first interview, since misclassification at the border is difficult to reverse.
Target Roles Tied to Active Therapeutic Programs
Arrowhead's hiring for commercial roles accelerates around pipeline milestones and Phase 3 readouts. Track their clinical trial updates on ClinicalTrials.gov and time your applications to coincide with programs approaching FDA submission windows, when headcount needs spike.
Prepare Your OPT or CPT Documentation Early
F-1 candidates should have their OPT EAD in hand before an offer is extended, since biotech employers moving into commercial hiring phases rarely have flexibility on start dates. Confirm your STEM OPT extension eligibility if your degree qualifies, since it extends your authorization window significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles Efficiently
Arrowhead's Sales Development Manager openings aren't always easy to track across job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Arrowhead that match your visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring expectation.
Understand the PERM Timeline If Pursuing a Green Card
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires your employer to complete a DOL-supervised recruitment process before filing, which can take a year or more before an I-140 petition is even submitted. For Sales Development Manager candidates, starting this conversation during the offer stage rather than after onboarding avoids significant delays.

Find Sales Development Manager at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Development Managers?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals' primary sponsored visa categories for this function are EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN, based on their recent sponsorship activity. H-1B sponsorship is not consistently listed among their active pathways for Sales Development Manager roles, so candidates relying on H-1B should clarify directly with the recruiter before advancing in the process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Development Manager roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead actively sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for early-career commercial candidates, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA occupational categories, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for longer-term sponsorship. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree level, and where you are in your career progression.
What qualifications does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals expect for Sales Development Manager candidates?
Arrowhead typically seeks candidates with a life sciences or business degree and demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales development functions. Familiarity with cardiometabolic, hepatic, or respiratory disease areas is a meaningful differentiator given their pipeline focus. Prior experience with specialty or rare disease commercial teams is valued more than general sales background.
How do I apply for Sales Development Manager jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
You can find and apply for Sales Development Manager openings at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your pathway before applying. Tailor your application to highlight therapeutic area knowledge relevant to Arrowhead's active pipeline programs, since generic commercial profiles are less competitive in biotech hiring.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Sales Development Manager role at Arrowhead?
For F-1 OPT candidates, your EAD should already be approved before you expect an offer, since biotech commercial teams set firm start dates around product launch or fiscal cycles. For EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa pathways, the DOL PERM process alone can run 12 to 18 months before USCIS petition filing, so raising the green card conversation at the offer stage rather than mid-employment is the practical approach.
