Align Your Credentials With Bank Accounting Standards
Centennial Bank's Bookkeeper roles sit within a regulated banking environment, so your resume should reflect familiarity with GAAP, bank reconciliation workflows, and core ledger software. Highlight any experience with financial institutions specifically, not just general bookkeeping.
Target Branch Locations With Active Openings
Centennial Bank operates across multiple states with concentrated community banking presence in the South and Southeast. Search by specific state or metro when applying, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the regional level for accounting support roles.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Bookkeeper Roles by Visa Type
Not every open Bookkeeper listing at Centennial Bank will explicitly mention sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings by the visa types the bank has historically supported, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already on the table.
Clarify OPT Authorization Before Your First Interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm that your STEM OPT extension applies to your accounting or finance classification before interviewing. Centennial Bank will need to verify your work authorization through E-Verify, so having your documentation current avoids delays at the offer stage.
Prepare for PERM Documentation Early in the Process
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, Centennial Bank's HR team will need to run a DOL PERM labor market test. Gather your education transcripts and prior employment records early, since PERM requires demonstrating your qualifications meet the minimum requirements for the specific Bookkeeper role.

Find Bookkeeper at Centennial Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Centennial Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Bookkeepers?
Yes, Centennial Bank has sponsored H-1B visas for roles in its accounting and finance functions, including Bookkeeper positions. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, so it's worth raising the topic directly during the hiring process. The bank files H-1B petitions through USCIS, and cap-subject cases are subject to the annual lottery with an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Bookkeeper jobs at Centennial Bank?
Applications go through Centennial Bank's careers portal, where Bookkeeper openings are listed by location. You can also find and filter active Bookkeeper roles at Centennial Bank that are open to visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions based on the bank's historical sponsorship activity. Tailor your application to emphasize bank reconciliation, general ledger experience, and any regulated financial environment background.
Which visa types does Centennial Bank commonly use for Bookkeeper roles?
Centennial Bank has worked with several visa categories for accounting-related roles, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3. For Bookkeeper positions specifically, H-1B and F-1 OPT are the most common entry points, with some candidates transitioning to permanent residency sponsorship after establishing tenure with the bank.
What qualifications does Centennial Bank expect for Bookkeeper positions?
Centennial Bank typically looks for candidates with a background in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in transaction recording, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Familiarity with banking-specific compliance requirements and proficiency in accounting software are practical advantages. For visa sponsorship cases, your degree credentials should clearly support the specialty occupation classification USCIS requires for H-1B filings.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Bookkeeper role at Centennial Bank?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization is already in place before you start, so no additional USCIS filing is needed. H-1B sponsorship tied to the annual cap requires lottery selection in April and a October 1 start, meaning you could wait up to six months from offer to employment. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs longer, often 18 months or more from initiation through DOL and USCIS processing.
