Align your credentials to Deloitte's specialty occupation standard
Deloitte's AI Engineer roles typically require a degree in computer science, data science, or a closely related field. Make sure your transcripts and any credential evaluations clearly map your academic background to the role before you apply.
Target Deloitte's AI and analytics practice areas directly
Deloitte's AI Engineer openings sit across several practices, including AI and Data, Government and Public Services, and Technology Consulting. Filtering by practice area surfaces roles most likely to have dedicated sponsorship budgets and established visa workflows.
Ask explicitly about E-3 and H-1B1 eligibility during offers
Australian and Singaporean nationals can often bypass the H-1B lottery entirely through the E-3 or H-1B1 pathways. Deloitte sponsors both, so raise your nationality and visa type preference during the offer stage before the firm assumes H-1B.
Browse open AI Engineer roles using Migrate Mate
Deloitte posts AI Engineer openings across multiple portals and practice sub-sites, making it easy to miss relevant listings. Use Migrate Mate to filter Deloitte's verified sponsoring roles by visa type and location in one place.
Prepare for PERM documentation if you pursue a Green Card
Deloitte initiates PERM labor certification for EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship, which requires DOL to verify no qualified U.S. workers were displaced. Start the conversation with your recruiter early, as PERM timelines at large consulting firms can run 12 to 18 months before the I-140 stage.

Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for AI Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for AI Engineer roles and has done so consistently across its consulting and technology practices. For cap-subject candidates, the firm participates in the annual USCIS lottery with registrations submitted each March. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Deloitte can also file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the next lottery cycle.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for AI Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, covering candidates from most countries as well as Singapore and Australia specifically. For permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. The visa type offered typically depends on your nationality, current immigration status, and the specific practice area you're joining.
What qualifications and experience does Deloitte expect for AI Engineer positions?
Deloitte's AI Engineer roles generally require a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, machine learning, data science, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and production deployment of models is expected. Consulting-specific experience or client-facing project work is a differentiator at the senior level.
How do I apply for AI Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply through Deloitte's careers portal, but roles are spread across practice areas and geographies, which makes it easy to miss relevant listings. Migrate Mate aggregates Deloitte's verified visa-sponsoring AI Engineer openings so you can filter by visa type and location without manually checking multiple sub-sites. Once you identify a role, apply directly and confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Deloitte to sponsor my H-1B?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS opens registration each March and selections are announced by late March or April. A cap-subject H-1B can begin employment October 1 at the earliest. If you're on F-1 OPT or a STEM extension, time your job search so your offer is in place before your current authorization expires, leaving enough runway for Deloitte's legal team to prepare the petition.
