Align your cloud certifications to Deloitte's practice areas
Deloitte's cloud work centers on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud within its technology consulting practices. AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Professional certifications directly signal readiness for the engagements Deloitte staffs and makes you a stronger candidate before interviews begin.
Target Deloitte's technology consulting business units specifically
Deloitte's cloud roles sit primarily within its Technology and Transformation practice, not general IT support. Filtering applications to these business units improves your chances of landing a role where cloud delivery is the core function and sponsorship is standard practice.
Understand which visa Deloitte is likely to file for you
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards. Australians on E-3 avoid the H-1B lottery entirely, which matters for timeline planning. Your nationality determines which petition Deloitte files, so confirm this with your recruiter before accepting an offer.
Time your offer acceptance around the H-1B cap window
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Deloitte must register you in USCIS's annual lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Receiving an offer in Q4 or Q1 positions you to be included in that registration cycle without delaying your start by a full year.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Cloud Developer roles at Deloitte
Deloitte posts cloud roles across multiple business units and locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Cloud Developer positions at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to active roles rather than positions that have already closed.
Prepare your employment verification documents before the offer stage
Deloitte uses E-Verify for all new hires, so your I-9 documents need to be ready on day one. If you're transitioning from another employer's H-1B or OPT, gather your prior approval notices and transcripts early, as Deloitte's immigration team will need them to prepare your petition.

Find Cloud Developer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Developers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Developer roles. Cloud development qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which makes it a strong fit for H-1B petitions. Deloitte also sponsors H-1B1 and E-3 visas depending on your nationality, so the specific petition type depends on your citizenship and eligibility.
Which visa types does Deloitte use for Cloud Developer sponsorship?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) for Cloud Developer roles. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which has no lottery and a much faster process than the H-1B. Chilean and Singaporean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1. For permanent residence, Deloitte typically initiates PERM labor certification for eligible employees.
What qualifications and experience does Deloitte expect for Cloud Developer roles?
Deloitte's Cloud Developer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B sponsorship. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is expected, and professional certifications from those providers are treated as strong supporting credentials during the hiring process.
How do I apply for Cloud Developer jobs at Deloitte?
You can search and apply for Cloud Developer roles at Deloitte directly through Deloitte's careers site or find sponsorship-eligible positions through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight cloud platform experience and relevant certifications. Deloitte's hiring process for technical roles generally includes recruiter screening, technical assessments, and multiple interview rounds.
How long does Deloitte's H-1B sponsorship process take for a Cloud Developer?
From offer acceptance to your H-1B start date, the timeline is driven by USCIS's annual cap cycle. Standard processing takes three to six months after the October 1 cap opens, assuming you were selected in the March lottery. Premium processing, which USCIS offers for H-1B petitions, reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days and is available if your start date is time-sensitive.
