Target research and faculty roles first
Drexel's sponsorship activity is concentrated in academic and research positions. Roles in science, engineering, and health sciences departments are your strongest starting point if you need H-1B or Green Card sponsorship at a university employer.
Understand Drexel's co-op model as a hiring signal
Drexel's cooperative education program means the university values practical workforce integration. Roles tied to co-op administration, career services, or industry partnerships can attract candidates familiar with OPT and CPT frameworks.
Ask about sponsorship early in the process
University HR departments follow structured hiring timelines. Raise visa sponsorship in your initial application materials or recruiter screen, waiting until an offer stage at an institution like Drexel can cause avoidable delays or complications.
Leverage Drexel's TN visa eligibility for Canadian and Mexican applicants
Drexel sponsors TN visas, which is a strong advantage for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Higher education positions in research and academic administration frequently meet TN occupation criteria without lottery risk.
Browse verified sponsorship history before applying
Confirming that a university actively sponsors your visa type saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications on employers with a demonstrated track record like Drexel.
Align your application with Drexel's academic hiring cycles
Universities typically hire faculty and research staff on academic calendar timelines, with peaks in late fall and early spring. Submitting strong applications during these windows improves your chances of reaching a hiring committee with sponsorship authority.
