ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the French Teacher will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Support students by implementing research-based strategies to improve outcomes in French.
- Differentiate instruction while having high expectations for all students.
- Create a positive, structured learning environment to ensure that students observe the school’s core values and high expectations.
- Create immersive and engaging learning experiences that inspire students to develop a love for languages.
- Facilitate learning by designing lessons for whole class and small group instruction.
- Collaborate with fellow grade and subject level teachers to plan instruction.
- Implement formative and summative assessments and analyze the data to inform further instruction.
- Collaborate with the World Languages Department for the purpose of improving world language instruction and promoting a school-based professional learning community.
- Demonstrate exemplary classroom literacy practice; model best practices in literacy and improving student achievement levels.
- Commit to professional growth, participating actively in department meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities hosted at ECS, collaborate with the World Languages Team, and meet all professional responsibilities.
