Job Roles at Fastenal Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Fastenal Visa Sponsorship USA
Target technical and engineering roles first
Fastenal's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical, operations, and supply chain functions. Focus your applications on roles that clearly require specialized expertise, as these positions are more likely to qualify for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship than general business roles.
Understand the manufacturing hiring cycle
Manufacturing companies like Fastenal often ramp up hiring around Q1 and Q3. Timing your application to align with these cycles improves your chances of landing a role before H-1B cap season, giving your employer enough runway to file on time.
Highlight degree-to-role alignment clearly
Fastenal sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupations, so your resume must make the connection between your degree field and the specific role unmistakably clear. Vague experience descriptions slow down sponsorship conversations before they start.
Browse verified sponsorship history before applying
Knowing a company's real sponsorship activity before you apply saves time and sets expectations. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by actual sponsorship history and focus your effort on employers like Fastenal who have a demonstrated track record.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fastenal sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Fastenal does sponsor H-1B visas. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for qualified international workers, particularly in technical, engineering, and supply chain roles. Sponsorship is more common in positions that require a specialized degree, so aligning your background clearly to the role strengthens your case when raising sponsorship with a recruiter.
Which visa types does Fastenal sponsor?
Fastenal sponsors several visa categories, including H-1B for specialty occupations, TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals, and Green Card pathways through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. The company also supports F-1 students through OPT and CPT programs, making it accessible at multiple stages of an international professional's career.
Which departments or roles at Fastenal are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Fastenal tends to concentrate in roles with clear technical requirements, including engineering, operations, supply chain, and information technology. Positions where a specific degree in a relevant field is a genuine requirement, rather than a preference, are strongest candidates for H-1B eligibility. General management or administrative roles are less likely to qualify for specialty occupation sponsorship.
What is the typical timeline for visa sponsorship at a manufacturing company like Fastenal?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically begins several months before the April 1 filing window, with USCIS registration in March. From offer acceptance to H-1B start date, the full timeline can run six months or longer. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification typically takes one to three years from initiation, depending on the category and any backlog for your country of birth.
How do I find open roles at Fastenal that are open to visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search for Fastenal roles on a platform that shows verified sponsorship data alongside the job listing. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, letting you filter by company, visa type, and sponsorship history so you can apply with confidence rather than guessing whether a company will support your visa. Check listings regularly, as manufacturing companies tend to hire in waves.
