Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Operations roles hinges on whether the position requires a specific bachelor's degree. Frame your resume around degree-required functions like supply chain analysis or logistics engineering, not generalist management duties that any major could fill.
Target Fastenal's distribution and fulfillment openings
Fastenal's Operations hiring concentrates around its distribution centers and regional supply chain teams. Search for roles tied to inventory systems, vendor-managed inventory, or warehouse operations, where degree requirements in industrial engineering or business are more consistently documented.
Confirm employer enrollment in E-Verify before accepting an offer
Fastenal operates across multiple states, and employment authorization verification matters before your start date. Confirm the specific hiring entity is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required for F-1 OPT and CPT and affects how quickly your work authorization is processed on day one.
Ask HR directly about TN eligibility for Operations roles
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status can be a faster path than H-1B for qualifying Operations positions. Ask Fastenal's HR team whether the role maps to a TN-eligible occupation like Industrial Engineer or Management Consultant before the offer letter is drafted.
Start your PERM timeline planning before your OPT expires
PERM labor certification for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. If Fastenal offers Green Card sponsorship for your Operations role, get clarity on their internal PERM initiation timeline at the offer stage, not after you've started.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations roles by sponsorship history
Not every Fastenal Operations posting leads to sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type so you can prioritize applications where H-1B, TN, or OPT sponsorship has been documented, saving time on roles where sponsorship is unlikely.

Find Operations at Fastenal JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fastenal sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Fastenal has a history of H-1B sponsorship for Operations positions, particularly in supply chain, logistics, and distribution functions where roles require a specific bachelor's degree. Not every Operations posting qualifies, so look for job descriptions that specify degree requirements in a relevant field like industrial engineering, business, or operations management. Confirming this with the recruiter early in the process saves time.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Fastenal?
Applications go through Fastenal's careers portal. Filter by Operations or Supply Chain categories and look for roles in distribution, inventory management, or logistics coordination. Before applying, review the job description closely for degree requirements, which signal stronger H-1B or OPT eligibility. You can also browse verified sponsorship-filtered listings on Migrate Mate to identify which open Fastenal Operations roles have documented sponsorship history.
Which visa types does Fastenal commonly use for Operations positions?
Fastenal has sponsored H-1B visas for Operations roles and has supported F-1 OPT and CPT candidates in supply chain and distribution functions. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status if the role maps to an eligible occupation like Industrial Engineer. For longer-term sponsorship, Fastenal has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process for qualifying Operations employees.
What qualifications does Fastenal expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Most sponsored Operations positions at Fastenal require a bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the job, such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations. Practical experience with inventory systems, logistics coordination, or vendor-managed inventory strengthens your profile. For H-1B eligibility specifically, the degree must align closely with the role's core duties, not just general business knowledge, so framing your experience around technical or analytical functions matters.
How long does the sponsorship and visa process take for an Operations role at Fastenal?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after the April lottery, with an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. F-1 OPT can authorize work within 90 days of your program end date if you apply on time with your DSO. TN status for Canadian citizens can be obtained at the border on the same day. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically adds 18 months or more to the overall timeline before the I-140 petition stage.
