Align your credentials to Google's TSA framework
Google's Technical Solutions Architect roles typically require demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, or enterprise software at scale. Before applying, map your resume to those technical domains explicitly so recruiters can connect your background to their specialty occupation criteria.
Target Google's enterprise and cloud divisions
Google Cloud's enterprise sales and professional services teams are the primary homes for Technical Solutions Architects. Filtering your search by business unit rather than job title alone surfaces the highest-volume hiring teams and improves your odds of landing an interview.
Confirm your visa type before the offer stage
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this role. If you're Australian or from Singapore and Chile, clarify your eligibility for the E-3 or H-1B1 early, since those categories avoid the H-1B lottery entirely and can move faster through Google's legal team.
Prepare for Google's structured technical interview loop
The TSA interview at Google includes both systems design and customer scenario rounds. Hiring managers assess whether you can translate complex technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders, so practicing those cross-functional scenarios directly strengthens your case for a specialty occupation determination.
Understand when your H-1B petition needs to be filed
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March and the earliest an approved petition can start is October 1. Build that timeline backward into your Google offer negotiation so your start date aligns with when your status is actually valid.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TSA roles at Google
Technical Solutions Architect openings at Google are distributed across multiple teams and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified visa-sponsoring roles by type and location so you're targeting active listings where sponsorship is confirmed rather than assumed.

Find Technical Solutions Architect at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Architects?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Architects. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Google has a dedicated immigration legal team that manages the H-1B petition process, including Labor Condition Application filing with the DOL and petition submission to USCIS.
Which visa types does Google sponsor for Technical Solutions Architect roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Technical Solutions Architect positions. The H-1B applies to most international candidates but requires winning the annual USCIS lottery. If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 is available year-round with no lottery. If you hold citizenship from Singapore or Chile, the H-1B1 is an alternative that also bypasses the H-1B cap.
What qualifications does Google expect for a Technical Solutions Architect role?
Google's Technical Solutions Architect roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with several years of experience in cloud platforms, enterprise software, or solutions consulting. Proficiency with Google Cloud products or comparable platforms is commonly expected, and experience working directly with enterprise clients on technical architecture decisions strengthens a candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Technical Solutions Architect jobs at Google?
You can find open Technical Solutions Architect positions at Google through Migrate Mate, which filters verified visa-sponsoring roles so you're applying where sponsorship is confirmed for your visa type. After submitting your application, Google's process typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical phone round, and a multi-stage interview loop covering systems design, customer scenarios, and cross-functional communication before any offer is extended.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Google for this role?
Timeline depends on your visa type. For E-3 and H-1B1 candidates, consular processing after Google files the supporting documentation typically takes two to eight weeks. For cap-subject H-1B candidates, the process begins with USCIS registration in March, and an approved petition cannot start before October 1 of that year. Premium processing, which USCIS offers for an additional fee, can accelerate petition adjudication to roughly 15 business days.
