Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Molex's H-1B petitions for Technical Solutions Architects must satisfy USCIS specialty occupation criteria. A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field strengthens your petition far more than a general business or IT background.
Target open roles with active LCA filings
Before applying, search the DOL's FLAG system for Molex's recent Labor Condition Application filings under the Technical Solutions Architect title. Roles with certified LCAs already on file signal that Molex's legal team has an active sponsorship pipeline for that position.
Distinguish your OPT start date from your H-1B cap gap
If you're on F-1 OPT when Molex extends an offer, confirm whether your OPT expiration falls inside the H-1B cap-gap window. Cap-gap protection automatically extends your work authorization through September 30 if your petition is timely filed.
Connect industry knowledge to the role in interviews
Molex serves industrial and consumer connector markets. In technical interviews, frame your solutions architecture experience around hardware integration challenges, not just software stacks. Candidates who can speak to physical layer connectivity problems stand out during technical screens.
Clarify the filing timeline early in the offer stage
Once you receive an offer, ask Molex's HR team whether they use premium processing for H-1B petitions. USCIS premium processing adjudicates the petition within 15 business days, which matters if your OPT or current status has a hard expiration date approaching.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring roles by visa type
Not every Technical Solutions Architect posting at Molex is tied to a sponsored position. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles specifically by the visa categories Molex sponsors, so you're applying only where your work authorization path is already supported.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Architects?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Architect roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or computer science. Sponsorship is handled through Molex's internal immigration team, and the process begins after a formal offer is extended.
How do I apply for Technical Solutions Architect jobs at Molex?
You can browse and apply for Technical Solutions Architect positions at Molex directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is supported. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight systems integration, client-facing technical consulting, and any experience with connectivity or hardware solutions, since those align closely with what Molex's hiring teams prioritize for this role.
Which visa types does Molex commonly sponsor for Technical Solutions Architects?
Molex supports a range of visa categories for Technical Solutions Architect roles, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and career stage. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose degree and role align with USMCA-listed occupations.
What qualifications does Molex look for in a Technical Solutions Architect?
Molex typically expects a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience designing or implementing systems solutions for enterprise or industrial clients. Strong consultative skills matter as much as technical depth, since the role involves translating complex customer requirements into product or integration recommendations within Molex's connector and electronic component portfolio.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if I receive an offer from Molex?
The H-1B process involves two main phases: DOL certification of the Labor Condition Application, which takes seven business days or fewer when filed electronically, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-129 petition. Standard processing can take several months, but Molex may elect premium processing, which reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days. Cap-subject petitions are only accepted during the annual filing window each spring.
