Frame your analytics experience in healthcare terms
Humana reviews Data Analyst Lead candidates through a healthcare-operations lens. Translate your experience into outcomes like cost trend analysis, claims data modeling, or member risk stratification, even if your background is outside healthcare.
Confirm the role sits above analyst level
Lead-level analyst roles at large health insurers typically carry a more defensible specialty occupation argument for H-1B purposes. Before applying, verify the job posting specifies a bachelor's or higher in a quantitative field as a stated requirement, not a preference.
Target Humana's enterprise analytics and clinical data teams
Humana posts Data Analyst Lead roles across multiple divisions. Roles tied to enterprise data platforms, clinical quality, or pharmacy analytics tend to involve structured sponsorship workflows. Filter your job search to these verticals for more predictable hiring timelines.
Ask about PERM eligibility during offer negotiation
If long-term U.S. residency matters to you, raise Green Card sponsorship early. Large employers in the holding company and insurance sector often have established PERM pipelines, and knowing whether Humana will support EB-2 or EB-3 filing changes how you evaluate the offer.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Humana openings
Data Analyst Lead postings at Humana open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Humana roles by visa type and stay ahead of new listings before they fill, so your application reaches the hiring team early in the process.
Prepare your OPT or TN documents before interviews progress
If you're on F-1 OPT or pursuing a TN visa, have your credentials documentation ready before final-round interviews. Humana's HR teams move fast post-offer, and delays in providing degree verification or Canadian or Mexican citizenship documentation can slow your start date.

Find Data Analyst Lead at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Data Analyst Leads?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Data Analyst Lead roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for data and analytics positions. Lead-level roles strengthen the specialty occupation case because they typically require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, which is a core H-1B eligibility requirement USCIS looks for.
How do I apply for Data Analyst Lead jobs at Humana?
Applications go through Humana's careers portal at careers.humana.com. Search for Data Analyst Lead roles and filter by location or remote availability. For a filtered view of Humana openings that are open to visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you browse active listings directly. Tailoring your resume to reflect healthcare data terminology and the specific team's focus improves your chances of clearing the initial screening.
Which visa types does Humana commonly use for Data Analyst Lead roles?
Humana sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Data Analyst Lead positions. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying STEM programs, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories, J-1 exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa petitions for employees pursuing permanent residency through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Humana expect for a Data Analyst Lead role?
Humana typically expects a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, health informatics, or a closely related field, with several years of progressive analytics experience. Lead-level roles usually require proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics or visualization platform such as Python, R, Tableau, or SAS. Experience working with claims data, clinical datasets, or population health metrics is a meaningful differentiator for healthcare-specific teams.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and filing calendar?
H-1B cap registrations open each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT with a STEM extension, you may have up to 36 months to remain work-authorized while waiting for a cap selection. Humana can also file cap-exempt petitions in some circumstances. Aligning your Humana application timeline so an offer is secured before the March registration window gives you the best chance of a smooth transition.
