- Leading critical processes to prepare leadership for interactions with Humana’s Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
- Overseeing and delivering high quality analysis and deliverables that clearly frame objectives, issues/challenges, and articulate compelling, insightful findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Overseeing development of hypothesis to be validated or refined through targeted research and analysis
- Conducting interviews, working sessions, and report-outs with leaders across the company
- Overseeing industry, market, competitor, and financial analysis

Frame your credentials around healthcare strategy
Humana prioritizes Strategy Directors with experience in managed care, insurance, or health services transformation. Before applying, reframe your resume around enterprise-level strategic planning in regulated industries, not general management consulting deliverables.
Target roles with enterprise-wide scope
Humana's Strategy Director openings vary from business-unit-level to enterprise-wide mandates. Roles with cross-divisional responsibility are more likely to justify the additional steps required for visa sponsorship, so filter your search accordingly.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Humana's talent acquisition team handles volume across multiple business units. Confirming sponsorship eligibility in your first recruiter screen, before panel interviews begin, prevents late-stage misalignment and signals that you understand the process.
Understand how PERM affects your Director-level timeline
If you're pursuing permanent residency through an EB-2 or EB-3 pathway, PERM labor certification requires Humana to document recruitment efforts before filing. That process can take a year or more, so start that conversation during offer negotiation, not after you've started.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active openings
Strategy Director roles at Humana open and close quickly across its holding company structure. Use Migrate Mate to filter for current Strategy Director positions at Humana that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to live roles.
Align your TN or H-1B classification with your actual duties
For TN or H-1B filings, USCIS scrutinizes whether the specialty occupation classification matches the specific duties in the offer letter. At Humana, Strategy Director roles that blend business development with operational oversight require a carefully constructed job description to avoid a Request for Evidence.

Find Strategy Director at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Strategy Directors?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy Director roles. As a large employer in the health insurance and managed care space, Humana has experience filing H-1B petitions for senior-level positions. Strategy Directors typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard given the degree requirements for corporate strategy work in a regulated industry like healthcare.
Which visa types does Humana commonly sponsor for Strategy Director roles?
Humana sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Strategy Directors, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupation categories. For candidates already on F-1 OPT or CPT, Humana has filed cap-subject H-1B petitions to bridge status. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is also available for longer-term hires moving through permanent residency.
What qualifications does Humana expect for a Strategy Director role?
Humana typically requires a bachelor's degree at minimum, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred for Director-level strategy positions. Candidates with backgrounds in management consulting, corporate strategy in healthcare or insurance, or enterprise transformation programs are competitive. Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations aligns well with Humana's holding company structure and multi-business-unit environment.
How do I apply for Strategy Director jobs at Humana?
You can browse and apply for Strategy Director roles at Humana through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions open to visa sponsorship. Applications go through Humana's internal ATS, so tailoring your resume to the specific business unit and strategic scope listed in the job description improves your chances of clearing the initial screen and reaching the recruiter stage.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a Strategy Director role at Humana?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date before your first interview. H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year with an October 1 start date, so timing your offer acceptance to align with the March filing window matters. For TN visa holders, status can be extended more flexibly, but USCIS still requires the new petition to reflect your actual Strategy Director duties at Humana.
