Job Description
The Senior Direct Investment Manager is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for the execution, performance, and growth of Direct Buys and Affiliate Partnerships for our client in the insurance industry. Acting as both operator and integrator, this individual ensures campaigns are effectively planned, executed, and optimized to drive measurable business outcomes in a highly regulated financial services environment.
This role plays a critical part in building and managing relationships with premium publishers, (d)OOH vendors, and a diverse network of affiliate partners (such as NerdWallet and Forbes). Working seamlessly across a dual-stack tracking ecosystem (Impact and Everflow) and in close partnership with internal strategy, planning, and paid media teams, this person ensures cohesive execution and strong performance across all direct investment channels. You will collaborate with Media Strategy, Planning, Paid Media, Analytics, and Client teams.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the technical nuances of long-cycle lead generation, acts as a strict gatekeeper for audience quality, and brings a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
This is a hybrid position based out of our NYC office. The salary range for the role is between $85,000-110,000 USD, annually and final offer is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Accountability
- Own performance across direct media and affiliate partnerships, serving as the primary point of accountability.
- Translate complex strategies into clear, actionable plans for clients and internal teams.
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to track and improve performance across a delayed underwriting/conversion cycle.
- Operate independently, making informed decisions and driving outcomes with minimal oversight.
Partner Strategy, Vetting & Growth
- Manage and grow key affiliate and publisher partnerships (e.g., NerdWallet, Forbes), leveraging both Impact (for content creators) and Everflow (for lead aggregators).
- Act as a strategic audience gatekeeper, ensuring all onboarded partners align strictly with our core demographic profiles (e.g., middle-class households, family decision-makers, and grandmothers) rather than generic traffic.
- Proactively source, evaluate, and onboard new partners to unlock incremental growth while maintaining strict brand safety.
- Lead or support partner negotiations, contracting, and commercial structuring to protect media efficiency.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and bring forward new ideas across Premium Publishers (including CTV) and (d)OOH.
Campaign Execution, Compliance & Optimization
- Own end-to-end campaign execution, from setup through ongoing optimization.
- Oversee complex tracking infrastructure, ensuring accurate tracking of delayed offline conversions, Server-to-Server (S2S) routing, and postback mechanics.
- Enforce strict regulatory compliance, auditing partner content to ensure adherence to approved life insurance claims, disclosures, and pricing.
- Monitor performance closely, identifying opportunities to improve lead quality (CPQL) and scale.
- Manage budget pacing and ensure alignment with client goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with media strategy, planning, paid media, and analytics teams to share insights on publisher quality and backend lead validity.
- Ensure alignment across teams to drive cohesive execution and maximize impact.
Client Leadership
- Serve as a senior, client-facing lead for direct investment and partnership strategies.
- Lead client meetings, clearly communicating performance, technical stack recommendations, and insights.
- Deliver clear, data-driven reporting with actionable insights, translating complex affiliate data into executive summaries.
Success Measures
- Performance Efficiency: Achieve or exceed client spend and performance targets across direct buys and affiliate networks, ensuring budget pacing aligns with client objectives.
- Operational & Technical Excellence: Maintain clean tracking and reporting across the Everflow and Impact platforms, successfully managing the integration of offline/delayed conversion data.
- Compliance & Brand Safety: Ensure zero regulatory breaches by maintaining strict oversight of publisher messaging and audience alignment.
- Client Satisfaction & Retention: Drive proactive performance insights, ensuring high client confidence in direct media strategies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, and execution, particularly in large-scale, multi-market campaigns.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise affiliate partnerships (such as NerdWallet and Forbes).
- Hands-on experience navigating complex or dual-stack partnership platforms (specifically Impact and Everflow).
- Deep expertise in the technical affiliate ecosystem, including Server-to-Server (S2S) tracking, delayed offline conversion windows, publisher models, and commission structures.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, education) with longer sales cycles is highly preferred.
- A data-focused mindset with a sharp ability to vet publishers based on specific audience demographic criteria.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on technical execution.
Note: We emphasize skills, expertise and behavioral attributes over years of experience and traditional degrees. If you want to join our collaborative team, we invite you to apply today with your resume in English.

Frame your portfolio around media partnerships
Jellyfish works across paid media, programmatic, and platform partnerships with clients at scale. Document specific partnership deals you've closed or managed, including the media channels and revenue outcomes, so your credentials speak directly to what their teams hire for.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility requires the position to meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. For Partnership Development, a degree in marketing, business, or communications typically satisfies this, but verify your specific degree field aligns with the job description before applying.
Search verified sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Browse Partnership Development Manager openings at Jellyfish on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers so you're not wasting time on roles that won't support an H-1B petition.
Target Jellyfish's agency and platform partnership verticals
Jellyfish hires Partnership Development Managers to manage relationships with platforms like Google, Meta, and Amazon. Highlighting direct experience with partner portals, co-marketing programs, or channel development at a media agency strengthens your fit for their open roles.
Clarify H-1B transfer eligibility before accepting an offer
If you already hold an H-1B with another employer, Jellyfish can file an H-1B transfer petition, letting you start work once USCIS receives it, within your 240-day period. Confirm this option with HR before signing any offer paperwork.
Build your LCA timeline into your offer negotiation
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Factor this into your start date discussion, since LCA certification typically adds one to two weeks before the main petition can be filed.

Find Partnership Development Manager at Jellyfish JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jellyfish sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Jellyfish sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. The position generally meets USCIS's specialty occupation criteria, given its requirement for a degree in a relevant field such as marketing, business, or communications. Sponsorship typically requires a confirmed job offer, and your employer handles the petition process through USCIS after obtaining a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Jellyfish?
You can find open Partnership Development Manager positions at Jellyfish through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles specifically at employers with a sponsorship track record. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight platform partnership experience, client revenue growth, and any co-marketing or channel development work, since Jellyfish's hiring for this function centers on media and technology partnerships.
Which visa types are commonly used for Partnership Development Manager roles at Jellyfish?
The H-1B is the primary work visa used for Partnership Development Manager roles at Jellyfish. If you're already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT, you can work while your employer files an H-1B petition before your OPT expires. In some cases, candidates with significant leadership backgrounds may explore O-1A eligibility, though H-1B is the standard path for this role type.
What qualifications are expected for a Partnership Development Manager at Jellyfish?
Jellyfish typically looks for candidates with a background in marketing, business development, or digital media, along with hands-on experience managing platform or agency partnerships. Familiarity with paid media ecosystems, specifically Google, Meta, or programmatic channels, is commonly expected. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required to support H-1B specialty occupation classification, and prior agency experience is a meaningful differentiator.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at a company like Jellyfish?
The standard H-1B process involves DOL LCA certification, which takes one to two weeks, followed by USCIS petition processing, which runs three to six months under regular processing. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days. Cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer and paperwork need to be finalized well before the filing window opens in March.
