Align your resume to infrastructure operations
Jobot recruiters screen Operations Engineer candidates against specific technical stacks. Tailor your resume to highlight systems reliability, process automation, or platform engineering experience before you apply, since staffing firms move fast once they match you to a role.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before recruiter calls
Jobot acts as an intermediary between you and the end client. Ask the recruiter upfront whether the client company, not just Jobot, is willing to sponsor your visa type. End-client refusal is the most common reason sponsorship falls through in staffing placements.
Verify your OPT STEM extension qualifies for this role
If you are on F-1 OPT, confirm that your degree field aligns with the Operations Engineer role before accepting a placement. USCIS requires a direct relationship between your STEM degree and the position to qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension.
Prepare a portable credentials packet for LCA filing
Once Jobot initiates H-1B sponsorship, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process Form I-129. Having your degree transcripts, employment verification letters, and credential evaluations ready shortens this window significantly.
Target Jobot postings with listed end clients
Some Jobot Operations Engineer listings name the end client directly. Prioritize these postings because you can research the client company's own H-1B filing history through USCIS public data, giving you a clearer picture of how receptive they are to sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Jobot roles by visa type
Not every Jobot posting specifies which visas the end client supports. Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations Engineer openings at Jobot by the visa types you need, so you spend your time on roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than discovering gaps after the offer stage.

Find Operations Engineer at Jobot JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Engineers?
Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Operations Engineers, though its staffing model means sponsorship decisions are often shared between Jobot and the end client company. Before advancing in the process, confirm with your recruiter whether the specific client placement supports H-1B sponsorship. Not all client engagements will, so it is worth asking directly early in the conversation.
How do I apply for Operations Engineer jobs at Jobot?
You can apply through Jobot's website or through Migrate Mate, which lets you filter Jobot's Operations Engineer openings by visa sponsorship type before you apply. Once you submit your application, a Jobot recruiter typically reaches out to screen your technical background and clarify your work authorization status, so be ready to discuss your visa situation from the first call.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly support for Operations Engineer roles?
Jobot has supported H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Operations Engineers. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA occupational categories. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm early whether the role qualifies for STEM OPT extension, since many Operations Engineer positions involve STEM-designated fields but the end client must be E-Verify enrolled.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Operations Engineer candidates?
Jobot's Operations Engineer postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on experience in systems infrastructure, DevOps tooling, or process automation. The specialty occupation standard matters here: your degree field should directly connect to the technical scope of the role, which also supports H-1B eligibility under USCIS criteria.
How do I manage the H-1B timeline when placed through a staffing firm like Jobot?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed by the April 1 filing window after the March lottery registration period. If Jobot confirms sponsorship and your lottery registration is selected, USCIS allows up to a 90-day pre-employment period before your start date. Build this timeline into your offer negotiation so your start date aligns with when your H-1B status actually takes effect.
