Frame Your Real Estate Credentials for U.S. Standards
If your real estate credentials came from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from NACES-approved service before applying. Jobot recruiters assess fit quickly, so having a U.S.-equivalent credential summary ready removes friction from your first conversation.
Target Jobot Roles Tied to End Clients
Jobot operates as a staffing firm, meaning your actual worksite is the end client, not Jobot. For H-1B purposes, the end client's location and wage data shape your Labor Condition Application, so clarify the placement location during your recruiter screening call.
Ask Directly About Specialty Occupation Documentation
Real Estate roles can face USCIS scrutiny as specialty occupations. Ask your Jobot recruiter which specific job titles they've successfully sponsored before, and confirm the position description requires a degree in a related field like finance, urban planning, or real estate management.
Align Your OPT Timeline with Jobot's Placement Speed
F-1 OPT authorization runs on a fixed clock. Jobot's contract and direct-hire placements vary in speed, so tell your recruiter your OPT expiration date upfront so they prioritize roles with H-1B cap-gap coverage before your status lapses.
Verify Your TN Eligibility Before Accepting a Real Estate Offer
TN status applies to specific USMCA-listed occupations, and not all Real Estate titles qualify. Before accepting an offer from Jobot, confirm with USCIS guidance that the role maps to a qualifying category like economist or engineer, not a general property management title.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Jobot's Active Real Estate Listings
Jobot posts Real Estate roles across multiple markets and hiring models. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jobot positions that include visa sponsorship, so you apply to listings already verified for H-1B, OPT, or TN eligibility rather than guessing from the job description alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Real Estate roles?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Real Estate positions. Because Jobot is a staffing firm, the H-1B petition is tied to the end client placement, which means the job duties, worksite location, and prevailing wage must all align with USCIS specialty occupation standards for Real Estate. Roles involving financial analysis, asset management, or property valuation tend to have the strongest specialty occupation footing.
How do I apply for Real Estate jobs at Jobot?
You can apply directly through Jobot's website or through Migrate Mate, where Jobot's visa-sponsoring Real Estate listings are filtered and searchable. When you reach a recruiter, be upfront about your visa status and timeline on the first call. Jobot recruiters move quickly, and having your credentials, resume, and status documentation ready accelerates placement into roles that fit your sponsorship needs.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Real Estate positions?
Jobot has experience with H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Real Estate roles. H-1B is the most common path for longer-term sponsorship. F-1 OPT works well for recent graduates entering property analysis or asset management. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations under USMCA, though it applies to a narrower set of Real Estate job titles.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Real Estate roles with sponsorship?
Jobot's Real Estate placements typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly related to the role, such as finance, real estate, urban planning, or business administration. For H-1B eligibility specifically, USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, so roles with degree requirements in a specific discipline are stronger candidates than general property management or leasing positions.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're on F-1 OPT, start your Jobot search at least three to four months before your OPT expires so there's enough runway for a cap-season H-1B filing. H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If your OPT runs past April, cap-gap protection keeps you authorized during USCIS processing. Tell your Jobot recruiter your exact status end date at the start of your search.
