Tips for Finding Clinical Nurse Jobs at Keiser University
Align Your Credentials to U.S. Nursing Standards
Keiser University requires Clinical Nurses to hold a valid U.S. state nursing license. If your credentials were earned abroad, start the CGFNS or NCLEX pathway early, credentialing alone can take six to twelve months before you're eligible to apply.
Target Campus Locations Actively Hiring Nurses
Keiser operates campuses across Florida and beyond, and Clinical Nurse openings are not evenly distributed. Search by specific campus locations rather than applying to a general posting, since hiring decisions are made locally and sponsorship conversations happen at the campus level.
Browse Open Clinical Nurse Roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Clinical Nurse openings at Keiser University by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship aligns with your current status, whether that's H-1B, TN, or F-1 OPT.
Understand How TN Status Applies to Nursing
Canadian and Mexican nurses can explore TN status as an alternative to H-1B, but the role must meet DOL's definition of a qualifying professional occupation. Confirm the specific job title and duties at Keiser align with the TN nurse classification before applying.
Ask About PERM Timing During Offer Negotiations
If Keiser extends an offer with EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, ask directly when the PERM labor certification process typically begins. Some employers start it concurrently with H-1B filing; others wait. Knowing the timeline upfront helps you plan for priority date backlogs.
Use OPT Cap-Gap Rules to Stay Work-Authorized
If your F-1 OPT expires while your H-1B petition is pending, the cap-gap rule extends your work authorization through September 30 of that year. Confirm USCIS has received your employer's timely-filed petition before your OPT end date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Keiser University sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Nurses?
Yes, Keiser University has sponsored H-1B visas for Clinical Nurse roles. Because the H-1B requires a specialty occupation with a directly related degree, nursing positions that require a Bachelor of Science in Nursing qualify. Your employer files the petition with USCIS, and you'll need an active state nursing license before the process can move forward.
How do I apply for Clinical Nurse jobs at Keiser University?
Applications go through Keiser University's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. Because Clinical Nurse openings are campus-specific, apply to the location closest to where you can work. You can also browse current visa-sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship before applying.
Which visa types does Keiser University use for Clinical Nurse roles?
Keiser University has used H-1B, TN visa, EB-2, EB-3, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Clinical Nurse positions. H-1B and TN visa are the most common temporary routes. EB-2 and EB-3 support permanent residence pathways and typically require a separate PERM labor certification process through the Department of Labor before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does Keiser University expect for Clinical Nurse positions?
Keiser typically requires a valid Registered Nurse license in the relevant state, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher, and relevant clinical experience. For visa sponsorship purposes, the BSN is critical because it establishes the specialty occupation requirement under H-1B rules. Some campus roles in clinical education may additionally require experience in academic or simulation settings.
How do I think about timing when pursuing sponsorship at Keiser University?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with a cap that opens each April for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date and whether your employer can file before the cap opens. For permanent residence through EB-3, PERM and USCIS processing together can take two or more years, so raising this with the hiring team early in the offer process matters.
