How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Lewis University Visa Sponsorship USA
Target academic and professional support roles
Lewis University's sponsorship activity is concentrated in faculty, research, and specialized professional positions. Focus your search on roles that require advanced degrees in fields like education, technology, or health sciences, where visa sponsorship is most commonly offered.
Understand the H-1B and Green Card pathways available
Lewis University sponsors both H-1B visas and permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If long-term stability matters to you, ask recruiters early whether the role has a history of leading to Green Card sponsorship, not just temporary work authorization.
Apply well before the H-1B cap deadline
Higher education employers like Lewis University typically plan hiring around the April H-1B lottery registration window. Targeting roles in the fall or early spring gives you the best chance of being included in that cycle without delays pushing you to the following year.
Highlight mission alignment in your application
Lewis University is rooted in the Catholic Lasallian tradition and values community, service, and professional development. Applications that reflect genuine alignment with that mission, beyond technical qualifications, tend to stand out to hiring committees in the education sector.
Search for verified sponsoring employers before applying
Not every job posting at a university will lead to sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus only on Lewis University roles where international candidates have a realistic path to a visa.
Engage the HR office early about sponsorship policy
University HR departments often have established processes for visa sponsorship, but timelines vary by role and funding source. Contacting Lewis University's human resources team early in the process clarifies whether a specific position qualifies before you invest significant application effort.

Does Lewis University sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Lewis University sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying positions, particularly in academic, technical, and specialized professional roles. The university has a consistent track record of H-1B filings, making it a credible option for international candidates in higher education who need employer-sponsored work authorization to remain in the United States.
What types of visas does Lewis University sponsor?
Lewis University sponsors H-1B visas for temporary skilled workers and supports permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. This combination makes it appealing for international candidates seeking both near-term work authorization and a longer-term route to permanent residence, particularly in faculty or specialized staff roles.
Which departments or roles at Lewis University are most likely to be sponsored?
Sponsorship at Lewis University tends to align with roles requiring specialized expertise, including faculty positions in science, technology, business, and health sciences, as well as certain administrative and research roles. Positions requiring a master's degree or higher in a specific field are generally the strongest candidates for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship.
What does the sponsorship application timeline look like at a university like Lewis University?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically begins months before the April USCIS registration window. If you receive an offer in the fall or winter, Lewis University's HR and legal team would need to initiate the Labor Condition Application and petition preparation well in advance. Green Card sponsorship, if offered, involves a longer PERM labor certification process that can take one to three years.
How do I find open roles at Lewis University that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search for Lewis University on Migrate Mate, which filters employer listings by verified sponsorship history. This lets you identify roles where international candidates have realistically been sponsored before, rather than relying on job postings that may not disclose sponsorship eligibility upfront. From there, applying directly through Lewis University's careers portal is recommended.
