Align your degree to the role's specialty occupation standard
Loenbro's Construction Engineer positions typically require a civil, structural, or construction engineering degree. Before applying, confirm your credential directly maps to the job description, because USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility for construction roles more closely than for software or finance positions.
Target Loenbro's active project regions strategically
Loenbro concentrates work in energy, industrial, and infrastructure corridors across the Mountain West and Central U.S. Applying to postings tied to active project pipelines in those regions gives you a stronger shot than applying to roles in areas where their construction activity is lighter.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Construction Engineer openings by visa type
Loenbro lists Construction Engineer roles across multiple states, and not every posting reflects the same sponsorship posture. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for openings that match your visa type, so you spend time on positions where your authorization status already fits.
Request TN status at the port of entry if you're Canadian or Mexican
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN status for engineers can be obtained directly at a U.S. port of entry or preclearance site without a USCIS petition. Bring your job offer letter, proof of engineering credentials, and a clear description of your Construction Engineer duties when you cross.
Clarify cap-gap coverage before your OPT expiration date
If Loenbro files an H-1B petition for you before your F-1 OPT expires and your case is selected in the lottery, cap-gap protection extends your work authorization until October 1. Confirm with your employer's immigration counsel exactly when the petition was filed to determine whether you're covered.
Prepare a project portfolio that documents field and office contributions
Loenbro's Construction Engineer roles blend site supervision with technical deliverables. Bring documentation that shows both, such as RFI logs, submittal registers, or inspection records alongside design support work, because hiring managers in construction-heavy firms evaluate hands-on site exposure as heavily as academic credentials.

Find Construction Engineer at Loenbro JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Loenbro sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Engineers?
Yes, Loenbro has sponsored H-1B visas for Construction Engineer roles. Because construction engineering is subject to USCIS specialty occupation review, your application will need to clearly demonstrate that a bachelor's degree in a directly related engineering field is the normal minimum for the specific position, not just for engineering broadly. Working with an immigration attorney your employer assigns is important at this stage.
How do I apply for Construction Engineer jobs at Loenbro?
You can browse and apply for Construction Engineer openings at Loenbro through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions that match your authorization status. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect the blend of field coordination and technical documentation that Loenbro's construction projects require, and address your need for sponsorship directly in your cover materials.
Which visa types are commonly used for Construction Engineer roles at Loenbro?
Loenbro sponsors H-1B visas, supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying engineering programs, and works with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in engineering roles. For recent graduates, OPT is the most common starting point. TN is the fastest path if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, since it requires no USCIS petition and can be obtained at the border.
What qualifications and experience does Loenbro expect for Construction Engineer roles?
Loenbro's Construction Engineer postings generally require a bachelor's degree in civil, construction, or a closely related engineering discipline. Field experience on industrial or infrastructure projects is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with project controls, RFI and submittal management, and safety compliance in a construction environment matters significantly, given that Loenbro operates in energy and heavy industrial sectors where site execution is central to the role.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Construction Engineer at Loenbro?
Timeline depends on the visa type. TN status for eligible Canadians and Mexicans can be granted the same day at a port of entry. H-1B petitions follow the annual cap cycle, with registration in March, selections shortly after, and a start date no earlier than October 1. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS currently takes up to five months, so you'll want to file as early as your school's designated processing window allows.
