Frame your credentials around field operations
Loenbro's Project Manager roles lean heavily on hands-on project delivery in industrial and infrastructure contexts. Tailor your resume to show direct experience managing field crews, subcontractors, or construction schedules rather than purely office-based consulting work.
Confirm your TN eligibility before applying
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status is the fastest path into a role like this. Project Managers can qualify under the Engineer or Management Consultant category depending on your degree, so verify which classification your background supports before your first interview.
Target Loenbro's active project regions directly
Loenbro operates across multiple states, and hiring for Project Managers tracks closely with where active work is being bid or executed. Search for postings tied to specific regions rather than applying broadly, since sponsorship decisions often sit with the regional hiring manager.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Project Manager roles
Loenbro lists Project Manager positions across different service lines and locations at any given time. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for open roles at Loenbro that align with your visa type, so you're not manually tracking postings across multiple job boards.
Address sponsorship directly in your cover letter
Consulting and professional services firms often have a straightforward internal process for H-1B and OPT sponsorship. Stating your visa status clearly upfront, rather than waiting for HR to ask, signals professionalism and prevents your application from stalling at the offer stage.
Prepare your I-20 and OPT documentation before interviews advance
If you're on F-1 OPT or CPT, have your EAD card, I-20, and any STEM OPT extension authorization ready before you reach the offer stage. Employers initiating E-Verify checks need these documents quickly, and delays can jeopardize your start date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Loenbro sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Loenbro has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires the employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS, it works best when you raise your visa situation early in the process and confirm the specific hiring team has done this before for similar roles.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Loenbro?
Loenbro posts Project Manager openings across its service lines and regional operations on its careers page and major job boards. You can also browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which filters Loenbro's listings by visa type so you can see which roles align with your sponsorship situation before applying.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Manager roles at Loenbro?
Loenbro has sponsored H-1B visas and also works with candidates on F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for internship or early-career Project Manager positions. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may also be eligible for TN status, which does not require advance USCIS approval and can be obtained at the port of entry.
What qualifications does Loenbro expect for Project Manager roles?
Loenbro's Project Manager positions typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience managing projects in industrial or infrastructure environments. Familiarity with subcontractor coordination, project scheduling tools, and field safety compliance strengthens your candidacy significantly over a generalist consulting background.
How do I time my application around H-1B cap deadlines?
The H-1B cap lottery registration window typically opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Loenbro and need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, you'll want an offer in place well before February so the employer can register you in time. If you're already on OPT, you may be able to start before your H-1B is approved under cap-gap protections.
