Target roles aligned with Green Card sponsorship
Orthofix's sponsorship activity is concentrated in permanent residency pathways. Focus your applications on technical, engineering, regulatory, and clinical roles where the company has historically supported long-term immigration rather than temporary work visas.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 distinction before applying
Orthofix sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers. Knowing which category fits your background helps you frame your qualifications correctly from the first conversation.
Lead with your specialty in medical devices
Orthofix operates in spine and orthopedic devices, a highly specialized field. Candidates with backgrounds in biomechanics, regulatory affairs, quality systems, or surgical technology will align most naturally with the roles most likely to receive sponsorship consideration.
Engage early about immigration support
Because Orthofix sponsors Green Cards rather than H-1B visas, the immigration timeline is longer. Raising sponsorship eligibility early in the hiring process, ideally before the offer stage, ensures both sides understand the commitment involved and avoids last-minute complications.
Search for open roles through a verified sponsorship platform
Not every Orthofix job posting will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your search on roles where Orthofix has an established track record of supporting international candidates.
Prepare for a longer hiring and onboarding process
Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 pathway involves PERM labor certification, which adds time before your petition is filed. Factoring this into your planning, especially if you're on a visa with a firm expiry date, is essential for a smooth transition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Orthofix sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Orthofix does not have a significant history of H-1B visa sponsorship. The company's immigration support appears focused on permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. If you currently hold H-1B status and are seeking a new employer, Orthofix may still be worth pursuing for a long-term Green Card pathway, but you should clarify H-1B transfer eligibility directly with their HR team during recruitment.
What visa types does Orthofix sponsor?
Orthofix sponsors employment-based Green Cards, specifically under the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-2 is for professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers in roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Both pathways typically involve PERM labor certification, which the employer initiates on your behalf once you have a confirmed job offer.
Which departments or roles at Orthofix are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Orthofix tends to align with technical and specialized functions within the medical device space. Roles in engineering, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, clinical operations, and research and development are the most common candidates for Green Card sponsorship. These positions typically require specialized education and experience that is harder to source domestically, which strengthens the case for PERM labor certification.
How do I find open jobs at Orthofix that offer visa sponsorship?
The clearest way to find Orthofix roles with confirmed sponsorship potential is through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can see which openings align with Orthofix's actual immigration track record. When applying directly, it's also worth contacting Orthofix's talent acquisition team to confirm sponsorship availability for a specific role before investing significant time in the application process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Orthofix?
For EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the process typically begins with PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor, which can take six months to over a year depending on workload and whether audits occur. After PERM approval, the employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, you may face additional wait times once a visa number becomes available. Starting the conversation with Orthofix early in your employment is strongly advisable.
