Frame your resume around distribution sales metrics
Rexel evaluates Sales candidates on territory growth, account retention, and product line performance. Quantify your pipeline management and B2B revenue results so hiring managers can immediately map your background to their wholesale distribution context.
Target roles in Rexel's branch network strategically
Rexel operates through regional branches serving contractors and industrial buyers. Branches in high-growth markets fill Sales roles more frequently, so prioritize locations with active electrical or industrial construction activity when filtering openings on Migrate Mate.
Understand Rexel sponsors permanent residency pathways
Rexel's sponsorship activity sits in the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories rather than temporary work visas. Confirm early in conversations whether the role is being offered with a PERM-based sponsorship commitment, since that process typically takes one to three years.
Ask HR to clarify the PERM labor certification timeline
PERM requires DOL to certify that no qualified U.S. worker is available before your petition moves forward. Ask the recruiter when they plan to initiate the PERM filing so you can gauge whether your current work authorization will cover the waiting period.
Build product knowledge before your interview
Rexel sells electrical supplies, automation components, and industrial MRO products. Candidates who can reference specific product categories, speak to contractor procurement cycles, or demonstrate familiarity with distribution pricing models stand out from generalist Sales applicants.
Verify your work authorization bridges the sponsorship gap
If you're on OPT or another temporary status, confirm your authorized period covers the full PERM and I-140 timeline before accepting an offer. A 60-day grace period is not enough runway for an employment-based Green Card process at this stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rexel sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Rexel's sponsorship activity for Sales roles is concentrated in employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 categories, rather than the H-1B visa. If you're seeking temporary work visa sponsorship, clarify the specific visa type the role supports early in the recruitment process, as sponsorship structures can vary by position and business need.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Rexel?
You can browse open Sales positions at Rexel directly on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring profile. When applying, tailor your resume to Rexel's distribution and wholesale context, highlighting B2B account management, territory sales, or product line experience relevant to electrical and industrial supply markets.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales roles at Rexel?
Rexel's international hiring for Sales roles is typically structured around EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. These permanent residency pathways require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition, making them a longer-term commitment compared to temporary nonimmigrant visa options.
What qualifications does Rexel expect for Sales candidates seeking sponsorship?
Rexel looks for Sales professionals with B2B or industrial distribution experience, familiarity with contractor or MRO procurement, and a track record of managing territory accounts. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field strengthens an EB-2 or EB-3 petition, particularly when the role requires specialized knowledge of electrical or automation product lines.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Sales role at Rexel?
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 involves three stages: PERM labor certification with DOL, an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS, and final adjustment of status or consular processing. The full timeline commonly runs one to three years or longer depending on your country of birth and current visa priority dates, so aligning your work authorization accordingly matters.
