Frame your credentials around Ryder's operations scope
Ryder manages fleet, dedicated transport, and supply chain solutions at scale. Highlight experience with multi-site logistics coordination, carrier management, or warehouse operations in your resume to align with what their Logistics Manager roles actually require.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility requires your Logistics Manager position to require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles emphasizing supply chain systems, operations research, or industrial engineering typically clear this bar more cleanly than general management titles.
Target Ryder's dedicated contract logistics division
Ryder's dedicated transportation and contract logistics segments generate the most Logistics Manager openings. Filtering your search to these business units puts you in front of roles where sponsorship has historically been supported and where your operations background maps directly.
Get your LCA timing right before the offer stage
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. LCA certification typically takes seven business days. Factor this into your start-date conversation with Ryder's hiring team so expectations are set accurately.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Logistics Manager roles at Ryder System
Sponsorship-eligible roles at large employers like Ryder aren't always flagged clearly on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Ryder System's Logistics Manager openings where visa sponsorship is confirmed available.
Prepare for PERM if you're targeting permanent residence
Ryder sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards for Logistics Managers. If your goal is permanent residence, ask during the offer process whether the role is eligible for EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship, since not all positions are treated the same.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ryder System sponsor H-1B visas for Logistics Managers?
Yes, Ryder System sponsors H-1B visas for Logistics Manager roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record in this function, covering both initial H-1B petitions and renewals. Your role will need to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally means the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, operations research, or industrial engineering.
Which visa types are commonly used for Logistics Manager roles at Ryder System?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Logistics Manager positions at Ryder System, given the role's professional degree requirements. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Ryder also sponsors employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor before the immigrant petition stage.
What qualifications and experience does Ryder System expect for Logistics Manager roles?
Ryder typically looks for a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business operations, or a related field. Hands-on experience managing transportation networks, carrier relationships, or contract logistics operations is central to what these roles require. Familiarity with fleet management systems or warehouse management platforms strengthens your candidacy, particularly for roles within Ryder's dedicated contract logistics business units.
How do I apply for Logistics Manager jobs at Ryder System?
You can browse and apply for Logistics Manager roles at Ryder System directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Ryder's open positions where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your resume to Ryder's specific operational focus areas, including fleet logistics, dedicated transport, and supply chain solutions. Clearly signal your visa status and sponsorship needs early in the process to avoid late-stage friction.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship from Ryder System?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, the annual lottery registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL first, which typically takes around seven business days to certify. Build at least three to four months of lead time between your offer acceptance and intended start date to account for LCA certification, USCIS petition preparation, and any premium processing decisions.
