Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Food Supervisor Jobs at Sodexo Jobs
Tailor your credentials to Sodexo's contracts
Sodexo operates across healthcare, corporate dining, and university accounts, each with distinct compliance requirements. Highlight supervisory experience in high-volume, managed-services environments on your resume rather than independent restaurant settings.
Identify which Sodexo segment matches your status
Sodexo's healthcare division frequently hires on J-1 and F-1 OPT due to training program structures, while seasonal or campus dining sites lean on H-2B. Targeting the right segment upfront increases the odds your visa type aligns with the role's sponsorship history.
Get your food safety certifications before applying
ServSafe Manager certification is a practical baseline Sodexo expects for Food Supervisor candidates. Having it documented before you apply removes a common bottleneck that can delay offer letters and push back your I-129 or DS-2019 filing timeline.
Clarify OPT authorization before your start date
F-1 OPT has a 60-day unemployment limit, so confirm your Employment Authorization Document reflects the correct employer and start date before Day 1. Sodexo's onboarding team will run E-Verify, and a mismatch between your EAD and the offer terms can stall your start.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Food Supervisor roles at Sodexo
Sodexo posts Food Supervisor openings across dozens of locations, and not all are easy to filter by sponsorship type. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles specifically tagged to your visa category so you can apply to the right positions from the start.
Confirm the LCA wage tier before signing your offer
For TN and H-1B filings, DOL requires the offered wage to meet the prevailing wage for your specific location. Ask Sodexo's HR team which wage level the Labor Condition Application was filed at before accepting, since hourly Food Supervisor rates vary significantly by region and account type.

Find Food Supervisor at Sodexo JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sodexo sponsor H-1B visas for Food Supervisors?
H-1B sponsorship for Food Supervisor roles at Sodexo is uncommon. The H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which typically means a bachelor's degree in a directly related field is a standard requirement. Food Supervisor roles generally don't meet that threshold. Sodexo more commonly sponsors this role through H-2B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 pathways.
How do I apply for Food Supervisor jobs at Sodexo?
Start by searching Sodexo's careers portal and filtering for Food Supervisor openings in locations aligned with your visa type. You can also browse verified sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Sodexo positions tagged by visa category. When you apply, note your work authorization status clearly in your application, as Sodexo's recruiting teams route candidates based on eligibility early in the process.
Which visa types does Sodexo commonly use for Food Supervisor roles?
Sodexo's Food Supervisor sponsorship history includes H-2B for seasonal food service workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in hospitality or food science programs, J-1 for structured training placements, and TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying food service management roles. Each visa type has different eligibility rules, duration limits, and filing requirements, so confirming which pathway applies to your situation before applying is essential.
What qualifications does Sodexo expect for Food Supervisor candidates seeking sponsorship?
Sodexo typically expects at least one to two years of supervisory experience in a high-volume food service environment, whether in healthcare, corporate dining, or institutional catering. ServSafe Manager certification is a strong practical requirement. For TN applicants, the role must align with USMCA-listed occupations, so relevant educational credentials in food service management or a related field strengthen your case considerably.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Food Supervisor roles at Sodexo?
Timelines vary by visa type. TN status can be obtained at the border in a single day if documentation is complete. J-1 placements require DS-2019 issuance from a sponsor organization before the consular appointment, which can take several weeks. H-2B petitions are subject to USCIS processing times and seasonal cap availability. Starting your outreach to Sodexo at least two to three months before your intended start date provides enough runway for most pathways.
