Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Healthcare Assistant Jobs at Southern New Hampshire Health Jobs
Verify Your Credentials Meet New Hampshire Requirements
New Hampshire requires healthcare assistants to meet state-specific training and certification standards before they can work in patient-facing roles. Confirm your credentials align with state requirements before applying, since Southern New Hampshire Health will expect compliance on day one.
Target Roles With Direct Patient Care Language
Southern New Hampshire Health posts Healthcare Assistant openings across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty units. Roles explicitly tied to a clinical department are more likely to qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B criteria, which strengthens the employer's petition to USCIS.
Browse Open Listings Directly Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Healthcare Assistant openings at Southern New Hampshire Health by visa sponsorship eligibility. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cross-referencing job boards to find roles where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Raise Sponsorship During the Offer Negotiation Stage
Don't wait until after a verbal offer to ask about H-1B sponsorship. Bring it up once you've cleared the final interview round, when the hiring manager has already decided you're the candidate, so the conversation focuses on logistics rather than eligibility.
Understand the H-1B Cap and Annual Lottery Timing
Southern New Hampshire Health would need to file your H-1B petition in April for an October 1 start date, and selection is determined by USCIS lottery. Factor this into your job search timeline, especially if you're on OPT or nearing the end of another status.
Prepare Documentation Showing Degree-to-Role Alignment
For an H-1B petition, USCIS scrutinizes whether your specific degree field directly relates to the healthcare assistant duties in the job description. Gather transcripts and any clinical training records that map your educational background to the responsibilities outlined in the posting.

Does Southern New Hampshire Health sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcare Assistants?
Yes, Southern New Hampshire Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Healthcare Assistant roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every opening, so it's worth confirming directly with the hiring team during your interview process. Positions tied to specific clinical departments tend to have the clearest path to a qualifying H-1B petition with USCIS.
How do I apply for Healthcare Assistant jobs at Southern New Hampshire Health?
Applications go through Southern New Hampshire Health's careers portal, where you can filter by department and job type. You can also browse their current Healthcare Assistant openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship has been offered. Have your certifications, resume, and any clinical training documentation ready before submitting, as healthcare roles typically have screening questions attached.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare Assistant roles at Southern New Hampshire Health?
The H-1B is the primary employer-sponsored work visa used for Healthcare Assistant positions at Southern New Hampshire Health. If you hold a Green Card or are eligible for TN status as a Canadian or Mexican national in a qualifying healthcare occupation, those pathways can also support employment here without requiring the H-1B lottery.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Healthcare Assistant positions?
Southern New Hampshire Health typically looks for a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare field, along with any applicable state certifications for direct patient care. Clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting strengthens your application significantly. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, your degree must directly correspond to the duties in the role, so a general credential may receive more scrutiny from USCIS than a field-specific one.
How do I plan my timeline around the H-1B process for a Healthcare Assistant role?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, work backward from October 1, the earliest possible start date under a cap-subject petition. USCIS opens the registration window in March, meaning Southern New Hampshire Health needs to commit to sponsoring you before that window opens. If you're currently on OPT, check whether your program qualifies for the STEM extension to buy additional runway in case you miss a lottery cycle.
