Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Registered Nurse Jobs at Southern New Hampshire Health Jobs
Verify your credentials before applying
Get your nursing license endorsed through the New Hampshire Board of Nursing before you submit an application. Southern New Hampshire Health requires an active, unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire, and a pending license can delay or derail an offer.
Target units with chronic staffing pressure
Medical-surgical, ICU, and emergency departments at community health systems like Southern New Hampshire Health typically have the most consistent RN openings. Focusing your application on high-turnover units improves your odds of reaching a hiring manager who needs to fill seats quickly.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Ask directly whether the specific unit and HR team have processed H-1B petitions for RN roles before. Some departments within the same health system have more institutional experience with the H-1B filing process than others, which affects how smoothly your petition moves.
Account for H-1B cap timing in your job search
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from Southern New Hampshire Health in the summer, your actual work start date may be months away. Build that gap into your timeline, especially if you're transitioning from OPT or another status.
Browse open RN roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters healthcare jobs by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify active Registered Nurse openings at Southern New Hampshire Health without sorting through roles where sponsorship is unavailable. Set up alerts so you hear about new postings as soon as they go live.
Prepare a NCLEX and credential evaluation summary upfront
International nursing applicants should have their NCLEX passing score, a CGFNS or equivalent credential evaluation, and English proficiency results ready before the first interview. Southern New Hampshire Health recruiters screen for these early, and having them ready signals you are ready to move quickly.

Find Registered Nurse at Southern New Hampshire Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Southern New Hampshire Health sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, Southern New Hampshire Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Registered Nurse roles. The H-1B is the primary sponsorship pathway used for RNs at this facility. Because nursing qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, eligible candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree and an active New Hampshire RN license can be petitioned under this category.
Which visa types are commonly used for Registered Nurse roles at Southern New Hampshire Health?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for sponsored RN positions at Southern New Hampshire Health. Some internationally trained nurses also enter the U.S. workforce through the EB-3 immigrant visa category, which requires PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. EB-3 sponsorship is a longer process but leads to a Green Card, whereas H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status that can be renewed.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Registered Nurse roles at Southern New Hampshire Health?
Southern New Hampshire Health typically expects candidates to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing, hold or be eligible for a New Hampshire RN license, and have clinical experience relevant to the unit they are applying to. For H-1B sponsorship, a bachelor's degree is particularly important because USCIS requires specialty occupation to be supported by at least a relevant four-year degree.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at Southern New Hampshire Health?
You can browse and apply for open Registered Nurse positions at Southern New Hampshire Health directly through the hospital's careers portal. For a filtered view of roles where visa sponsorship is available, Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point. Once you identify a role, apply with your resume, nursing credentials, and license information ready, and flag your sponsorship needs early in the recruiter conversation.
How do I understand the timeline for H-1B sponsorship at a hospital like Southern New Hampshire Health?
If Southern New Hampshire Health agrees to sponsor your H-1B, the employer's immigration counsel files the petition with USCIS, typically during the April cap filing window for an October 1 start. The full timeline from offer to work authorization can run six months or longer. If your current status is expiring, discuss bridge options such as a status extension or change of status with the HR team before signing an offer.
