Align your credentials to CRO business structures
Syneos Health operates as a contract research organization, so Business Manager roles typically require demonstrated experience managing P&L, client relationships, or functional budgets within a clinical or life sciences services environment. Frame your resume around those specifics before applying.
Verify your visa category before outreach
Syneos Health sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways. Knowing which category fits your situation before you contact a recruiter lets you answer sponsorship questions confidently and avoids delays during the offer stage.
Target therapeutic area teams with open headcount
Syneos Health organizes Business Manager hiring around therapeutic areas and service lines. Search open roles filtered by business unit and cross-reference with Migrate Mate to identify where active sponsorship-eligible positions are concentrated before you reach out.
Negotiate offer timing around LCA filing windows
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Build at least four to six weeks of LCA processing time into your expected start date discussion so the offer timeline stays realistic.
Document client-facing scope for specialty occupation evidence
USCIS scrutinizes Business Manager roles for specialty occupation status. Collect offer letters, project scopes, or internal job descriptions that show a directly related bachelor's degree is a baseline requirement, not a preference, for the role you are being hired into.
Use OPT STEM extension strategically if eligible
If you are on F-1 OPT and hold a STEM-eligible degree in a life sciences or business discipline, a 24-month STEM extension gives Syneos Health two additional H-1B lottery cycles to secure your long-term status. Confirm your degree qualifies under the official DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List before relying on this path.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Syneos Health sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Syneos Health sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The position needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means demonstrating that the role requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher as a minimum requirement. Syneos Health's clinical and commercial business management functions generally meet that threshold, but the specific scope of your role matters when the petition is reviewed.
Which visa types does Syneos Health commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Syneos Health sponsors H-1B visas, TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or scientific categories, F-1 OPT including STEM extensions, and employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3 PERM labor certification. The right category depends on your nationality, degree field, and how far along you are in your career. Discussing your situation with Syneos Health's HR team early in the process helps clarify which path applies.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Syneos Health?
Browse open Business Manager positions on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship so you can focus your time on positions where your work authorization situation won't disqualify you. Once you identify a relevant role, apply directly through Syneos Health's careers portal and flag your visa status early in the recruiter screening call to confirm sponsorship is available for that specific position and location.
What qualifications does Syneos Health expect for Business Manager positions?
Syneos Health typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, business, or related field, combined with experience managing accounts, budgets, or functional operations within a clinical research or pharmaceutical services environment. For USCIS purposes, the degree should be directly related to the role's core responsibilities. Candidates with prior CRO or sponsor-side experience managing study delivery or commercial contracts tend to align most cleanly with what Syneos Health is hiring for.
How do I think about timeline when Syneos Health sponsors my visa?
For H-1B sponsorship, factor in the annual lottery registration window in March, a DOL LCA certification period of around seven to ten business days, and USCIS processing time of several months under standard processing or two to three weeks with premium processing. TN status for eligible nationals can move faster since it doesn't require a USCIS petition. Aligning your target start date with these windows during offer negotiations prevents timeline conflicts that can derail an otherwise successful hire.
