Get Your Credentials Evaluated Before Applying
Trinity Health hiring managers expect Nurse Manager candidates to hold a U.S. RN license in the state of the role. If your nursing degree is from outside the U.S., complete a credential evaluation through a NCSBN-recognized body before submitting applications so there are no delays at offer stage.
Target Trinity Health Facilities by State License
Trinity Health operates across multiple states with different facility brands. Identify which entities fall under the Trinity Health umbrella in states where your RN license is active, then filter your search to those locations to avoid applying for roles you cannot legally start without additional licensure.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope at the Offer Stage
Trinity Health sponsors both temporary work visas and permanent residence pathways for clinical leadership roles. When you receive an offer, ask HR directly whether the sponsorship package covers PERM and Green Card filing, not just the initial H-1B petition, so you understand your long-term authorization path.
Align Your Application Timing With H-1B Cap Deadlines
If you need an H-1B and are not currently in cap-exempt status, USCIS only accepts new H-1B registrations in March for an October 1 start. Plan your Nurse Manager job search to have an offer in hand well before that window so Trinity Health can submit your registration on time.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Trinity Health Openings

Prepare for DOL Prevailing Wage Review in Your Offer Negotiation
For H-1B and PERM filings, Trinity Health must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the Nurse Manager role in your specific metro area. Understand that your offered salary is tied to this floor, and review published DOL wage data for your location before entering offer negotiations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Nurse Managers?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for Nurse Manager roles. As a large nonprofit health system, Trinity Health has the infrastructure to manage employer-filed H-1B petitions, including the required Labor Condition Application through DOL. Sponsorship availability can vary by facility and state, so confirm the specific site's sponsorship commitment when you receive an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Nurse Manager roles at Trinity Health?
Trinity Health sponsors several visa categories for clinical and nursing leadership roles, including H-1B, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and immigrant visa pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3 through PERM. J-1 visa and F-1 OPT or CPT are also supported for eligible candidates. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and long-term authorization goals.
What qualifications and experience does Trinity Health expect for Nurse Manager roles?
Trinity Health typically expects Nurse Manager candidates to hold an active RN license in the relevant state, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at minimum, and direct clinical leadership or charge nurse experience. Many postings prefer a Master of Science in Nursing or an MBA with healthcare focus. Hands-on experience managing staff, budgets, and patient outcomes in an acute care or inpatient setting strengthens your application significantly.
How do I apply for Nurse Manager jobs at Trinity Health?
You can browse and apply for Nurse Manager positions at Trinity Health through Migrate Mate, which aggregates verified sponsoring roles across Trinity Health's regional brands in one place. From there, applications route to Trinity Health's internal talent acquisition team. Have your RN license, credential evaluation documents, and a current resume tailored to clinical leadership ready before submitting.
How do I plan my timeline if Trinity Health is sponsoring my visa for a Nurse Manager role?
Timeline depends on visa type. An H-1B requires registration in March with an October 1 start, so factor in at least six months from offer to start date. TN status can be obtained at the border or port of entry with less lead time. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically adds one to three years to the process. Align your offer acceptance and notice period with these government-defined timelines to avoid gaps in authorization.
