Obtain Your P&C License Before Applying
Most Commercial Account Manager roles at USI require an active Property and Casualty insurance license. Getting licensed in your target state before you apply removes a common hiring barrier and signals you're ready to work from day one.
Target Regional Offices With Active Openings
USI operates through a distributed regional model, so hiring decisions are made locally. Focus your outreach on specific regional offices that have posted Commercial Account Manager openings rather than applying to a generic corporate pipeline.
Frame Your Experience Around Client Retention
USI emphasizes book-of-business management and retention metrics. When describing past roles, lead with specific client relationship outcomes, renewal rates, or portfolio growth, since those are the competencies hiring managers at insurance brokerages prioritize.
Confirm Visa Type Compatibility With Your Offer
USI has sponsored multiple visa categories for this function, including E-3 and TN. Once you receive an offer, confirm with HR which visa pathway applies to your situation, since E-3 (Australian citizens) and TN (Canadian and Mexican citizens) have different documentation requirements and processing timelines.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Verified Sponsorship History
Before investing time in an application, verify that a specific USI office has a real sponsorship track record for Commercial Account Managers. Migrate Mate filters job listings by employer sponsorship history so you can prioritize offices where international hires have been approved before.
Start Your LCA Filing Timeline Early
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa petition can proceed. For E-3 applicants especially, LCA certification typically takes seven to ten business days, so align your start date offer with enough lead time for this step.

Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Commercial Account Managers?
USI Insurance Services' sponsorship activity for Commercial Account Managers has been concentrated in visa categories like E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT rather than H-1B. If you need H-1B sponsorship, it's worth discussing directly with USI's HR team during the offer stage, since H-1B eligibility also depends on the annual lottery administered by USCIS each April.
Which visa types are commonly used for Commercial Account Manager roles at USI Insurance Services?
The visa types USI has sponsored for this function include E-3 (available to Australian citizens), TN (available to Canadian and Mexican citizens under USMCA), and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. J-1 sponsorship has also been used. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree field, and how your role maps to the relevant visa's specialty occupation or professional category requirements.
What qualifications or experience are expected for a Commercial Account Manager at USI Insurance Services?
USI typically looks for candidates with a background in commercial lines insurance, including experience managing client accounts and handling policy renewals. An active Property and Casualty insurance license is a standard requirement in most states. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and, where relevant, your visa eligibility as a specialty occupation worker.
How do I apply for Commercial Account Manager jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can find and apply for Commercial Account Manager openings at USI through Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsorship-friendly listings and lets you filter by visa type. USI posts roles by region, so look for openings in your preferred location. Tailor your application to highlight commercial lines experience, client retention work, and your current visa status so the hiring team can assess fit quickly.
How do I manage the visa filing timeline after receiving a job offer from USI Insurance Services?
Once USI extends an offer, the sponsorship process typically starts with a Labor Condition Application filed by your employer with the DOL, which must be certified before your visa petition or consular appointment can proceed. For E-3 applicants heading to a consular interview, build in at least two to three weeks after LCA certification. Align your proposed start date with your employer early so neither side is caught off guard by processing timelines.
