Align your credentials to insurance licensing requirements
Most Sales Account Executive roles at USI require a state property and casualty or life and health license. Research the licensing requirements in the state where the role is posted before applying, since unlicensed candidates are typically screened out early.
Target USI's regional office postings strategically
USI operates through a decentralized branch model, so hiring decisions vary by region. Focus on offices in states where USI has concentrated commercial lines activity, as those teams tend to have more active headcount and more experience processing visa paperwork.
Clarify your visa type during the offer stage
USI has sponsored E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and J-1 candidates for this role. When you reach the offer stage, confirm which visa category applies to your situation and whether USI's HR team or an outside immigration counsel will handle the filing, since timelines differ by visa type.
Prepare a book of business narrative for interviews
USI's sales hiring process emphasizes demonstrated revenue generation. If you've managed client relationships or grown a portfolio in a previous market, document those results in quantifiable terms. Immigration status should come up only after you've established commercial value.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
USI participates in E-Verify, which is required to onboard any sponsored employee. Before accepting an offer, verify your employment authorization documents are current and accurate, since discrepancies can delay your start date even after a petition is approved by USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
USI posts Sales Account Executive openings across dozens of locations at any given time. Use Migrate Mate to filter those openings by the visa category you hold, so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed rather than working through every listing manually.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Account Executives?
USI Insurance Services does not appear in public DOL disclosure data as an active H-1B visa sponsor for Sales Account Executive roles. The visa types it has sponsored for this function include E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visa. If H-1B visa sponsorship is your primary need, confirm directly with USI's HR or immigration team during the recruiting process before investing significant time in the application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Account Executive roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has sponsored Sales Account Executives under the E-3 visa for Australian citizens, the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 for exchange visitors. The right category depends on your nationality and current status. E-3 and TN are generally faster to process than petitions requiring USCIS adjudication, which can be an advantage in time-sensitive hiring situations.
What qualifications or experience does USI Insurance Services expect for Sales Account Executive roles?
USI typically looks for candidates with a background in commercial insurance, employee benefits, or financial services sales. A relevant state insurance license is often required at the time of hire or within the first few months. Prior experience managing a client portfolio, knowledge of commercial lines products, and familiarity with agency management systems like Applied Epic strengthen your candidacy considerably for this specific function.
How do I apply for Sales Account Executive jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can find and filter Sales Account Executive openings at USI Insurance Services through Migrate Mate, which lets you browse by visa type so you only see roles where sponsorship aligns with your situation. Once you identify a relevant posting, apply through USI's careers portal and flag your visa status early in the recruiter screening call. Having your license status and work authorization documents ready speeds up the process significantly.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing a Sales Account Executive role at USI Insurance Services on a work visa?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. E-3 and TN approvals can come through within a few weeks of an offer, making them compatible with standard 30 to 60-day start date expectations. F-1 OPT authorization is already in place, but you should confirm your OPT expiration date before starting the process. If your status is changing or expiring, start the conversation with USI's HR team at least 60 days before your authorization ends to avoid a gap.
