What does that mean exactly?
It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination. Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal. Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. It also applies to recruiting, hiring, job assignment, compensation, promotion, benefits, training, assessment of job performance, discipline, termination, and everything in between. Recruiting, hiring, and promotion decisions at Salesforce are fair and based on merit. The same goes for compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, reduction in workforce, recall, training, and education.
In the United States, compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, job level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Salesforce offers a variety of benefits to help you live well including: time off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchasing program.
Compensation
The typical base salary range for this position is $77,550 - $133,100 annually. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $85,300 - $146,500 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.

Frame your sales metrics for U.S. enterprise context
Salesforce evaluates Account Executives on pipeline generation, quota attainment, and CRM proficiency. Before applying, reformat your resume to reflect ARR, ACV, and Salesforce platform experience so hiring managers recognize your fit immediately.
Target roles labeled quota-carrying not overlay
Salesforce distinguishes between direct quota-carrying AE roles and overlay or specialist positions. Sponsored roles are far more common in quota-carrying seats, so filter job listings by that criteria before investing time in your application.
Verify your LCA wage tier before negotiating
Salesforce files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition. The certified wage level directly affects your offer range, so research prevailing wage data for Account Executive roles in your target metro before salary discussions begin.
Ask about E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
Salesforce sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian nationals. The E-3 has no lottery and can be initiated year-round, so if you're eligible, raise this with the recruiter early to avoid being routed unnecessarily into the H-1B cap process.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open sponsored AE roles
Salesforce posts Sales Account Executive openings across multiple verticals simultaneously and listings move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for sponsorship-eligible roles so you're applying to positions where the pathway is already confirmed.
Align your start date to USCIS cap or transfer timelines
If you need an H-1B transfer from a current employer rather than a new cap-subject petition, Salesforce can file immediately without waiting for October 1. Clarify your current visa status with the recruiter before your final interview round.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Salesforce sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Account Executives?
Yes, Salesforce sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Account Executive roles. The company files petitions for both new cap-subject cases and H-1B transfers from existing employers. If you're already on an H-1B, a transfer can begin at any point in the year without waiting for the April lottery window.
Which visa types does Salesforce commonly use for Sales Account Executive roles?
Salesforce sponsors H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Sales Account Executive positions. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and skips the lottery entirely. Green Card sponsorship typically follows a period of full-time employment and is initiated through the PERM labor certification process with DOL.
How do I apply for Sales Account Executive jobs at Salesforce?
Applications go through Salesforce's careers portal. The process typically includes a recruiter screen, a panel interview covering sales methodology and pipeline management, and a final presentation round. Salesforce uses structured competency-based interviews for AE roles, so preparing specific examples of enterprise deal cycles and quota performance is more effective than general sales talking points. You can browse open roles on Migrate Mate to find positions that already confirm visa sponsorship eligibility.
What qualifications does Salesforce expect for Sales Account Executives in domestic and household services?
Salesforce typically looks for candidates with experience managing complex B2B sales cycles, familiarity with CRM-driven selling, and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder deals. For the domestic and household services vertical, demonstrating knowledge of the operational challenges facing service businesses strengthens your candidacy. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is generally required to support specialty occupation classification under H-1B petition requirements.
How do I time my job search if my current work authorization is expiring?
If you're in OPT or a 60-day grace period, timing matters considerably. An H-1B transfer can be filed the day Salesforce extends an offer if you're already on an approved H-1B. For cap-subject cases, USCIS accepts petitions starting April 1 for an October 1 start date, so align your offer negotiation and interview timeline to give the company enough lead time to file before that window.
