Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. What does that mean exactly? It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination. Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal. Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. It also applies to recruiting, hiring, job assignment, compensation, promotion, benefits, training, assessment of job performance, discipline, termination, and everything in between. Recruiting, hiring, and promotion decisions at Salesforce are fair and based on merit. The same goes for compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, reduction in workforce, recall, training, and education.
In the United States, compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, job level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Salesforce offers a variety of benefits to help you live well including: time off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchasing program. Frame your sales experience in measurable outcomes
Salesforce's recruiting for Account Executives is quota-driven. Before applying, quantify your pipeline performance, close rates, and deal sizes so your resume speaks the language hiring managers use when building the sponsorship business case internally.
Target territories where Salesforce is actively hiring
Salesforce structures its Account Executive roles by territory and vertical. Search for open roles in domestic and household services segments specifically, since headcount approval is tied to territory need and directly affects whether a team can justify sponsorship paperwork.
Understand the difference between H-1B and E-3 timelines
If you're Australian, the E-3 moves faster than the H-1B and has no lottery. The H-1B cap opens in March with an October 1 start date. Knowing which path applies to you before your offer conversation prevents last-minute surprises with your start date.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to meet specialty occupation criteria, meaning a specific degree field must be tied to the job duties. Account Executive roles at enterprise software companies can qualify, but the job description must emphasize analytical, technical, or business strategy components over general sales.
Ask about the sponsorship process during the offer stage
Salesforce uses in-house immigration teams and outside counsel for filings. Ask your recruiter early whether your offer letter will include sponsorship commitment language and what the typical PERM or I-129 filing timeline looks like for your specific role and level.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Account Executive roles by sponsorship type
Not every open Account Executive listing at Salesforce will lead to the same visa path. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by the visa type you need, so you're applying to positions where your specific sponsorship situation has already been supported.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Salesforce sponsor H-1B visas for Account Executives?
Yes, Salesforce sponsors H-1B visas for Account Executive roles. The role typically needs to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements, which means the job description must connect your duties to a specific degree field. Salesforce's in-house immigration team handles filings, but your start date will depend on the H-1B cap cycle if you're not already in H-1B status.
How do I apply for Account Executive jobs at Salesforce?
Apply directly through Salesforce's careers portal and filter by the Account Executive job family and your target region. Tailor your resume to reflect quota attainment and enterprise sales experience relevant to the domestic and household services vertical. If you need visa sponsorship, flag that clearly in your application or recruiter screen so the team can align on the right pathway from the start.
Which visa types does Salesforce commonly use for Account Executive roles?
Salesforce sponsors H-1B visas for Account Executives who require cap-subject sponsorship, and E-3 visas for Australian citizens, which move faster with no lottery. For longer-term pathways, Salesforce also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically after you've established a performance track record in the role.
What qualifications does Salesforce expect for Account Executive roles?
Salesforce generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, plus demonstrated B2B sales experience. For the domestic and household services vertical, familiarity with SMB or mid-market sales cycles is a strong differentiator. The degree requirement also matters for H-1B eligibility, since USCIS ties specialty occupation status to a specific field of study.
How do I find Account Executive roles at Salesforce that sponsor my visa type?
Not every open role will lead to the same sponsorship path, and it's not always clear from a standard job listing which visa types a specific team has historically supported. Migrate Mate lets you browse Account Executive openings at Salesforce filtered by visa type, so you can focus your applications on roles where your specific sponsorship situation aligns with what the company has done before.
