Frame your sales experience in SaaS metrics
Gartner Account Executives are expected to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles for research subscriptions. Quantify your pipeline management, renewal rates, and enterprise deal sizes before applying so your background maps clearly to their model.
Target territory-based openings over generalist postings
Gartner structures Account Executive hiring by named territory and vertical. Applying to a role aligned with your prior industry experience, such as technology or software, signals fit and shortens the internal approval process that precedes any sponsorship decision.
Ask about LCA filing during the offer stage
The Labor Condition Application your employer files with DOL must be certified before your H-1B petition can be submitted to USCIS. Confirming Gartner's internal process for this step early helps you plan around the April 1 cap-subject filing window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Gartner Account Executive openings by visa type
Gartner posts Account Executive roles across dozens of territories simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for openings where Gartner has sponsored your visa type, saving time you'd otherwise spend screening postings manually.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation in advance
USCIS requires evidence that an Account Executive role qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B rules. Gather your degree transcripts, any field-specific certifications, and a role description that ties your academic background directly to the advisory sales function.

Does Gartner sponsor H-1B visas for Account Executives?
Yes, Gartner sponsors H-1B visas for Account Executive roles. The company has an established sponsorship process that covers both cap-subject petitions and transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status. Because Account Executives are classified as specialty occupation workers, candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree or higher to support the petition through USCIS.
How do I apply for Account Executive jobs at Gartner?
Applications go through Gartner's careers portal, where roles are organized by territory, vertical, and seniority level. To find openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, browse Migrate Mate's Gartner company page. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect enterprise sales experience and the specific client segment listed in the posting.
Which visa types does Gartner commonly sponsor for Account Executive roles?
Gartner sponsors several visa categories for Account Executives, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students nearing graduation, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The appropriate visa depends on your nationality, education, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does Gartner expect for Account Executive candidates seeking sponsorship?
Gartner typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a business, technology, or related field, along with demonstrated experience managing complex B2B sales cycles. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, your degree must align with the Account Executive role to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Prior experience selling SaaS, research subscriptions, or advisory services to enterprise clients strengthens both your candidacy and the petition.
How long does the sponsorship process take after receiving an offer from Gartner?
Timeline depends on your visa type. For H-1B cap-subject petitions, Gartner must file between April 1 and the lottery registration window, meaning an offer made outside that window may require a wait of several months. DOL must certify the Labor Condition Application before USCIS accepts the I-129 petition. Standard USCIS processing runs three to six months; premium processing reduces that to roughly two weeks.
