Obtain Your State Insurance Producer License First
Most USI Producer openings require an active property and casualty or life and health license before an offer is extended. Getting licensed in the state where you're targeting roles removes a common hiring barrier and signals you're ready to produce immediately.
Target USI's Specialty Practice Groups Strategically
USI organizes producers by practice, including construction, real estate, and employee benefits. Applying to a practice group where your background matches their book of business makes sponsorship conversations easier because the role justification is already built into the hiring need.
Clarify Your Visa Type Early in Recruiter Conversations
USI sponsors E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT across producer functions, but the filing process and timelines differ. Telling your recruiter which status you hold upfront helps their HR team route your file correctly and avoids delays after an offer is on the table.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active USI Producer Openings
Producer roles at USI are posted across dozens of regional offices simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter USI's open positions by visa type so you're only reviewing roles the company has actively sponsored for your situation, not guessing from a general job board.
Align Your Start Date With OPT or TN Processing Windows
TN status can often be obtained at a port of entry with a letter of support, while F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS typically takes two to three months. Negotiate your start date around whichever authorization you need so you can begin work without a gap.
Request a Detailed Offer Letter That Supports Your Visa Filing
For E-3 and TN filings, the offer letter needs to specify your job title, duties, minimum degree requirement, and full-time status. Ask USI's HR team to confirm these elements are included before you submit any visa application to a consulate or port of entry.

Find Producer at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Producers?
USI Insurance Services does not appear in recent H-1B sponsorship records for Producer roles. The company's documented sponsorship activity for this function covers E-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, confirm directly with USI's HR or talent acquisition team before progressing through the interview process.
How do I apply for Producer jobs at USI Insurance Services?
Applications go through USI's careers portal, where Producer roles are listed by region and practice group. Before applying, verify you hold or can obtain the required state insurance license for the location. Migrate Mate filters USI's open Producer positions by visa type, so you can identify roles the company has actively sponsored for your specific status before submitting your application.
Which visa types does USI Insurance Services commonly use for Producer roles?
USI has sponsored Producer roles under E-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa categories. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and fits well with USI's producer hiring given its straightforward consular processing. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates moving into a producer track.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Producer roles?
USI's Producer postings consistently list a bachelor's degree, an active or obtainable state insurance producer license, and demonstrated ability to develop new business relationships. Many roles within specialty practice groups expect prior experience in a relevant industry vertical, such as construction, real estate, or employee benefits, rather than generalist sales experience. Series licensing is sometimes required for benefits-focused producer positions.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing sponsorship for a USI Producer role?
Start your state licensing process before your interviews reach the offer stage, since most USI Producer offers are contingent on active licensure. TN status can be secured at a port of entry in a single day with a qualifying offer letter. F-1 OPT applications submitted to USCIS typically take two to three months, so submit early and negotiate a start date that accounts for your authorization window.
