Frame Your Credentials Around Consulting Sales Cycles
Westwood operates in professional services, so tailor your resume to show experience managing long-cycle B2B relationships, proposals, and account growth. Hiring managers here will prioritize documented revenue impact over general business development titles.
Search Westwood's Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Westwood regularly posts Business Development Professional roles that include visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for these positions directly, so you're not sorting through listings that exclude sponsored candidates.
Align Your Offer Negotiation With H-1B Prevailing Wage Rules
Once Westwood extends an offer, your salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for the role and work location. Request the LCA before your start date to confirm the wage level and avoid surprises during USCIS adjudication.
Ask About Internal Mobility During Your Interview
Consulting firms like Westwood often move business development professionals across practice areas or client verticals. Clarify whether a role transfer would require a new H-1B amendment, since a change in work location or duties can trigger a refiling obligation.

Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Professional roles. The company operates in consulting and professional services, where specialty occupation status for business development positions typically depends on demonstrating that the role requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Bringing documentation of your academic background and how it applies to the role strengthens your petition.
How do I apply for Business Development Professional jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can browse and apply for Business Development Professional openings at Westwood Professional Services through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include visa sponsorship. When applying, align your resume to show consulting-sector business development experience, including client acquisition, proposal management, and revenue outcomes. Westwood's recruiter screens typically focus on industry fit before moving to compensation and sponsorship discussions.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Business Development Professional roles?
Westwood sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Business Development Professional positions. F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while H-1B is the primary long-term work authorization path. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status if the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category.
What qualifications does Westwood Professional Services expect for Business Development Professional roles?
Westwood typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or a closely related field for Business Development Professional roles, consistent with H-1B specialty occupation requirements. Beyond the degree, relevant experience in professional services or consulting sales is weighted heavily. Demonstrable skills in pipeline management, client relationship development, and proposal writing give your application the clearest fit signal for this firm.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Business Development Professional at Westwood Professional Services?
Timeline depends on your current visa status. For H-1B, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after the October 1 cap year start date, with premium processing available to reduce that to 15 business days. F-1 OPT candidates can begin work immediately upon authorization. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification adds a significantly longer timeline, often one to three years depending on your priority date and country of birth.
