Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Westwood will need to demonstrate your Project Development Manager role qualifies as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes. Frame your degree and experience around project lifecycle management, stakeholder coordination, or consulting methodology rather than general management.
Research Westwood's active project verticals before applying
Consulting firms sponsor roles tied to billable client work. Review Westwood's publicly listed engagements and service lines so your application reflects the specific project types they're actively staffing, which strengthens your fit for open requisitions.
Confirm sponsorship intent before final interview rounds
Ask your recruiter directly which visa categories Westwood's HR team actively files for this role. Westwood sponsors multiple visa types, so knowing which pathway applies to your situation early prevents surprises after an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to identify current Project Development Manager openings
Filter by Westwood Professional Services on Migrate Mate to surface active Project Development Manager listings alongside each role's confirmed sponsorship eligibility, saving you time that would otherwise go toward outreach to roles that don't support your visa situation.
Prepare for DOL Labor Condition Application wage requirements
For H-1B and H-1B1 filings, Westwood's attorney will submit an LCA certifying your offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for your location and role level. Research DOL wage data for Project Development Managers in the office location you're targeting.

Find Project Development Manager at Westwood Professional Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Project Development Managers?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services sponsors H-1B visas for Project Development Manager roles. The company's consulting work involves specialized project oversight that typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which is a prerequisite for H-1B eligibility. If you're targeting this pathway, confirm the specific role level and office location with your recruiter, since prevailing wage determinations vary by geography.
How do I apply for Project Development Manager jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can find current Project Development Manager openings at Westwood Professional Services through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm visa support before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect project lifecycle management, client delivery, and cross-functional coordination experience, since those are the competencies Westwood's consulting practice prioritizes for this function.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Project Development Manager roles?
Westwood Professional Services sponsors several visa categories for this role, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students or recent graduates, J-1 for eligible exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree, and career stage, so discuss your situation with Westwood's HR team early in the process.
What qualifications does Westwood Professional Services look for in Project Development Manager candidates?
Westwood typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or project management, along with direct experience managing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships in a consulting or professional services environment. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must relate specifically to the duties of the role, so generalist backgrounds without a clear disciplinary tie to the position can complicate the petition.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Project Development Manager at Westwood Professional Services?
Timeline depends on which visa category applies. H-1B standard processing through USCIS typically runs three to six months from petition filing, while premium processing can reduce that to around 15 business days. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 takes considerably longer, often one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date. Coordinate your expected start date with Westwood's HR and legal team as early as possible.
