Frame your fintech sales credentials clearly
Worldpay focuses on payments infrastructure and software, so tailor your resume to show quota-carrying experience in SaaS or financial technology. Generic sales experience reads as a risk to a hiring manager reviewing international candidates.
Target roles aligned with your visa timeline
F-1 OPT authorizes work for 12 months, with a 24-month STEM extension if your degree qualifies. Prioritize Worldpay openings in enterprise or software sales, where longer deal cycles make multi-year employment continuity a selling point in sponsorship conversations.
Understand what Worldpay files for sales hires
Worldpay sponsors H-1B and TN visas for Sales Representatives, so confirm your visa category matches before applying. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens with qualifying credentials and requires no USCIS petition, which accelerates the hiring timeline significantly.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Worldpay's recruiting team handles a high volume of sales roles globally. Stating your visa situation in the initial screen, rather than after an offer, prevents late-stage misalignment and signals you understand the H-1B cap and October 1 start date constraints.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles by visa type
Filter Worldpay Sales Representative openings by the visa types you need before applying. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where the company has an active sponsorship pattern for that specific position, saving you from applying to listings where sponsorship is unlikely to be approved.
Confirm your offer letter references sponsorship intent
Before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition, Worldpay must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL establishing prevailing wage compliance. Ask your HR contact to confirm this step is included in the onboarding process before you resign from a current role.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Worldpay sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Representatives?
Yes, Worldpay sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Representative roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing petitions for this function, particularly for positions in enterprise and software sales aligned with its payments technology business. If you're on F-1 OPT, transitioning to H-1B visa through Worldpay is a realistic path, subject to the annual lottery and October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Sales Representative jobs at Worldpay?
Applications go through Worldpay's careers portal, where Sales Representative roles are typically listed by territory, product line, or segment such as SMB, mid-market, or enterprise. You can also browse open positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify which specific listings align with your work authorization situation before you apply.
Which visa types does Worldpay commonly use for Sales Representative roles?
Worldpay sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Sales Representatives. H-1B is the primary long-term path for most international hires. TN visa is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying educational backgrounds, as it doesn't require a USCIS petition and can be obtained at a port of entry or consulate.
What qualifications does Worldpay expect for Sales Representative candidates?
Worldpay typically looks for candidates with experience in B2B sales, preferably within payments, fintech, or enterprise software. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is standard. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, so demonstrating that a degree in a specific field is a normal requirement for the position strengthens the petition.
How do I plan my timeline around Worldpay's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so a Worldpay offer received in February or March still means a months-long wait before you can begin. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date relative to both the lottery registration window and your authorized period. Cap-exempt scenarios, such as working through a qualifying nonprofit or research institution, don't apply to standard Worldpay sales roles.
